    CNBC; According to a recent Kaiser Health News poll, “Republicans and white evangelical Christians were the most likely to say they will not get vaccinated, with almost 30% of each group saying they will ‘definitely not’ get a shot.”

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/12/white-house-using-nascar-country-music-tv-to-reach-vaccine-hesitant-americans.html

    Yes, Chris Cuomo says it's "White Conserative Men", MSNBC says so, mainstream media says so. Gotta be true, right??

    "The White House is focusing on Nascar, Country Music, and Deadliest Catch viewers to get these White guys vaccinated!!!"

    So let's look at the numbers;

    54.6% of Asian Americans have taken at least one dose of the vaccine.

    41% of White Americans have taken at least one dose.

    30.6% of Latino Americans

    26.7% of Black Americans

    Soooo why are Latino and Black Americans lagging so far behind?? Let's look at "mainstream media";

    https://www.apmresearchlab.org/covid/vaccines-by-race  "UNEVEN ACCESS BY RACE AND ETHNICITY"

    https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/issue-brief/latest-data-on-covid-19-vaccinations-race-ethnicity/

    "As noted in previous analysis, preventing racial disparities in the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines will be important to help mitigate the disproportionate impacts of the virus for people of color...."

    Ohhh, they don't have the same access!!! And Biden is focusing on White Guys!!! I see.

    Or maybe the actual TRUTH is Black and Latino Americans HAVE ACCESS but don't trust the vaccine.

    So the Biden Admin is either outright RACIST or they are LYING/avoiding the ACTUAL DATA to purposely villainize White Conserative Men.

    Wealthy Latin Americans with their tourist visas are traveling to the US to get covid vaccinations because the US has a surplus due to millions of Americans deciding to opt out of being inoculated.

    It's a fact that covid cases are down in our country because the government made the vaccine readily available to all of us that wanted it. We are still a free country to chose whether to get a shot or not.

    Trying to make this anything more is bullshit. I don't give a fuck if Conservative white men get a shot or not. That goes for Latinos and our black communities as well.

    But our President knows the vaccine helps prevent the spread of covid and is rightfully promoting its value to all citizens.

    @Midnight1

      I think his point is, is that lib media outlets are falsely reporting that white, conservative males are resisting getting vax'd while stats would show otherwise. Nothing Biden has done has helped in controlling the spread.

    Then why the focus on White Conservative Men?? Why not focus on the Black community that lags far behind? If people of color are being denied access as sooooo many news outlets report, why is the emphasis on White Men?

    (Reuters) - The percentage of U.S. Black adults who say they have either received a vaccine shot for COVID-19 or want one as soon as possible rose to 55% in March from 41% in February, a survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) showed.

    YET, AT THE END OF MAY,  ONLY 26.7% have had at least one shot!!!!!! If 55% want the shot in MARCH and now in MAY only 26.7% have gotten the shot WHY THE HELL IS THE WHITE HOUSE targeting WHITE GUYS!!!!!!!

    YAHOO NEWS; "Initially, there had been concerns about vaccine hesitancy among communities of color, particularly Black Americans, who may be mistrustful of a medical establishment that has a long history of institutional racism and neglect. But efforts to gain trust from Black communities appear to have been successful, even as disparities in who is actually being vaccinated persist."

    Appear to have been successful????? ONLY 26.7%

    It's all another Democrat LIE.

    If anyone knows not to trust the Federal Government, it’s Indians and Blacks.

    And they’re right not to.

    And if we are truly trying to achieve a colorblind society, and everyone’s life is important, why the focus on what race you are regarding getting the vaccine?

    And if Black lives matter...and they are the lowest-“vaccinated,” then why isn’t the heaviest focus on them getting the shot?

    It’s all political bullish!t.

    There are a number if factors at play as it pertains to the black community. For many, it is partially a question of access. And this is something we take for granted. For many of us, there are multiple vaccine sites within a 15 mile radius of our homes. We have cars. We can drive to where they are available if there are none available in out vicinity. In some of these inner city neighborhoods, there are no pharmacies. There weren't grocery stores, drug stores, etc. in the neighborhood I grew up in. And in some rural areas, there's nothing. The rub is that for many of the white men you would be targeting with Nascar and Deadliest Catch, access is also an issue. Many of these people are living in underdeveloped communities and rural environments just like the black people. So my first question would be one of access, not one of TV program choice. Second, for much of the black community, it is an issue of distrust. And that's a fact. From a logistical standpoint, there are more white men in the country than black people, so closing a gap in that demographic has greater implications to our overall pursuits. As far as the message being sent by the media, they'd like to sell this narrative that conservative men our refusing the virus and black people don't have access. To an extent this is true but it is also the case that some white men don't have access and many black people don't trust the vaccine. The fact is, and this is totally arbitrary so take it with a grain of salt, but it seems like the poor are the most distrustful and hesitant. Poor black people. Poor white people.

    My true feelings are this;

    Regardless of race, creed, religion, gender identity, or whatever, IT's your private choice. Just like wearing a mask alone in your car, your choice. Those who are vaccinated feel safer, those who choose not feel safer. Everybody should be happy, but ohhhhhh no! If 73% of any race, gender, whatever, says they don't want the vaccine at this time, fine with me.

    And what about the millions who have been exposed to COVID and already have immunities?? Never mind that, that is science and that is not what were talking about. That's the message I'm seeing.

    I live in rural America. 25 miles to a pharmacy or my doctor. Plenty of poor white, mostly elderly in my area. Best to my knowledge everyone has had access, those who wanted it, got it.

    And personally I have NEVER watched or been to a NASCAR event, don't listen to country music, and have never watched Deadliest Catch. To sterotype like that is racist.

    Every action, every word I see coming out of our President's mouth is for political/personnal gain, not the betterment of OUR country.

    And I understand the mistrust of the government. Good reasons not to trust!!

    As far as inner city access, Michigan set up Ford Field in downtown Detroit as a two day vaccination site. Intended to give inner city residents easy access only 7% vaccinated there were of the Black community. So how does the media spin that?

    mlive.com; "FORD FIELD WAS SUPPOSED TO SERVE BLACK DETROITERS. INSTEAD THE REST OF MICHIGAN TOOK ADVANTAGE."

    Bullchit!!! Black Detroiters CHOSE not be vaccinated at that time. Can't print that.

    The government and the media is dividing us like never before for THEIR GAIN, not for our gain as a nation. Nothing good will come from this!

    Come on now, bro, you know you're never clear as a whistle. I was thrown off by your question because who said that black communities haven't changed? That wasn't really part of the discussion. And quite honestly, most black communities have changed. I know you probably watch the news and it's all "Chicago this...." and "Oh my god, it's chaos!!!" but quite honestly, most black communities are much better off than they were in the 70s, 80s and 90s, when gang violence and poverty were at all time highs. There are some communities that haven't changed, or have changed for the worst, in the midwestern and southern states but these same states have white communities that haven't changed or have changed for the worst. Why haven't things gotten better in West Virginia? Why is Youngstown, Ohio so gutter? The point I was making is that these issues are nuanced and come down to more than simply race. And as crystal clear as you think you were, i'm still not clear on what your point was. And maybe you weren't quite clear either and this is why when asked, you avoided the question.

    @UNIMAN

    We are making the same point. Any access issues are only in rural and underdeveloped communities and that effects people of all races. It effects a ton of white people who would be targeted by Nascar ads. So instead of making it this narrative of, "They're refusing, we need to target them with ads." We should be looking at access in some of these rural communities. Likewise, for black people in the inner-city, they are in the city. They have access. They are refusing. We should be rubbing ads during the NBA playoffs saying, "Hey, get out there and get vaccinated." but they want to spin it that white conservatives are just simply refusing it. Some are. So are some black conservatives, black liberals, white liberals. This isn't a race based issue.

Of ALL politicians. What they have done is, which is completely sinister, is condition people into vehemently distrusting one side, which leads to them 100% trusting the other side. And the two sides argue about who's right, who's wrong. Meanwhile both sides are fucking us together. Just running the train. We complain about one side being up our ass while the other side it going to town on the mouth and secretly they are slapping 5. Besides a few outliers, the Bernie Sanders, the Marjorie Taylor-Greens, who I believe is batshit crazy but she's not a part of the establishment, besides a few outliers all politicians are the same. They want the same shit. They pass legislation with bipartisan support that never gets talked about on CNN or Fox. Thing about it. We have several cable news networks that are essentially political commentary networks because that's all they talk about barring a mass shooting or natural disaster. So 24/7 political commentary but how much actual policy/legislation do they talk about? They hit gotcha bullet points. "The dems want to pass a bill that...." "The republicans want to do this...." but none of these networks actually break legislation down because the American people have short attention spans and nobody would watch. The fact it that there is fucked up shit buried in almost every piece of legislation passed by either party. I was not a fan of Trump's tax plan. And i'm a fiscal conservative, and pretty damn well off, but I did not agree with it. The democrats didn't fight it very hard though, did they? You know what they were talking about at the time? Stormy fucking Daniels. You wanna know what I don't give two shits about? Who the next man is laying the pipe to in Vegas. I mean, it's Vegas. What the f? It was the biggest story in the news at the time though. Not life altering legislation. Most Americans didn't even understand the bill. If only there were networks, with political commentators to break this stuff down. Oh wait....

    Since white people (237  million) comprise 61% of total US population, most efforts are directed at vaccinating them.  Statista data shows blacks comprise 12% (42 million) and hispanics 17% (60 million).  According to PBS/NPR/Marist poll, 25% of blacks, 28% of whites and 37% of hispanics reject vaccines.

    In recent weeks, Center for disease control data shows higher vaccination rates of black and hispanic populations than for whites.  Helpful to improve access and lowering age eligibility.  But Trump supporters are the largest demographic group vaccine hesitant.  Their roughly 35 million outnumber blacks and hispanics who are vaccine hesitant.  Hill-Harris poll reveals lack of trust is the main reason for vaccine hesitancy.
