Then Pence is faced with an incredibly hard decision as it his task to verify and seal the election Jan6th. Pushed by his own aspirations and his belief it is necessary to stop the ultra lefts concentrated power . of both houses and the presidency.
Will he move to continue Trump keeps his presidency u til he takes the office in March as provided by the 12th amendment.
The temptation to fix this election maybe too great for the president of the Senate to pass up.

Pence is solid. He will not relinquish the Vice Presidency to a Chynese agent in Kamala Harris. If the election gets that far. Pence will perform his Constitutional duty as a proud American and disallow the treasonous electoral votes in Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

can Pence do this unilaterally and unchallenged? ... i think not, but i don't know
would be much much easier to do this with an R house.
why hasn't every losing presidential candidate of the past 35 years done this?.... oh yeah, THEY AREN'T BAT-SHITT CRAZY AND ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT SOMETHING OTHER THAN THEMSELVES

The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;-The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;-The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President-The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
But within the context of this and the 20th amendment if they disqualify Georgia Michigan Wisconsin and Pennsylvania then no clear majority exists so it goes to the house where each state is given one vote based on majority of states represented if the blue states abstain a 2/3 group does not exist the vice president becomes president....

It's a dusty old amendment.

haven't see this idea picked up anywhere yet... but will mike pence resign?
two things he may not want to do:
1) do the trump pardon
2) not seal the election results.
trump politics are bizarre........ pardoning or not pardoning trump (if made president) is going to hurt him either way. neither side will give him "credit" for what they want........ might not believe Trump deserves pardon (pure spec... but pence isn't batt-shitt crazy so it makes sense)
on the "not sealing" the election, why come to that point?.... why not just make up some vague emergency reason for resigning?
I just see ZERO UPSIDE from pence staying on until January 20th. maybe being "fake president" would be enough reason.
if he resigns early enough, I can't see either side faulting him too much for it......
here's a crazy idea: Trump becomes VP and won't seal the results...... surely this must pass the Supreme Court and responsible republican senators.
I've forgotten.... if the R senate votes for the results, can VP still not seal the results? I assume YES. and then Supreme Court makes snap, unanimous decision that it's outrageous.

ok, maybe i was WRONG TWICE (or partially right once).
when Agnew resigned, he was replaced by speaker of the house.............. Ford might have been #2 in-line though. but close enough and i assume somehow they massaged it.
when Nixon resigned, and Ford ascended to President they appointed Nelson Rockefeller as VP.... he had nothing to do with House of Reps
