Families across the East Coast had their Fourth of July weekend plans ruined by a New Jersey government shutdown that closed state parks, beaches, and historical sites just as residents from the region were planning to head out on vacations. The state government shut down at midnight on Friday meaning many would-be vacationers headed to the state beaches only to be turned away (municipal parks and beaches remain open). One family whose plans were not affected? Governor Chris Christie’s, who were able to have a whole beach to themselves thanks to the shutdown.

Less than a day after Christie ordered all state parks and beaches closed, he headed to the Island Beach State Park on Saturday night. Christie took a State Police helicopter to the park on Saturday and did the same thing on Sunday. “That’s where my family is sleeping, so that’s where I’ll sleep tonight,” Christie told reporters on Sunday afternoon. “When I have a choice between sleeping with my family and sleeping alone, I generally like to sleep where my family is.”

To be accurate he and his family spent the Independence Day holiday weekend at the governor's summer house provided by the state,,at Island Beach State Park........the beach house is separate from the park and his family did not ask for any state services.

so anyone that planned to be there should not be allowed i am saying he is a PIG. He sut down the parks for himself and will not share the privilidge more over the beaches next to him is PACKED.... and state troopers inforce the pigs mandates....


but y'all down there is used to grabbing the vasiline... stock up. cause ft lee is peanuts this so much more like just spitting in your grand daughters eye. 


he did not do a day in combat nor did trump but you just do not get what freedom for the fourth cost the families that actually lost loved ones during war times and last names end in a vowel...
enjoy the fire works should be marvelous on the north shore.

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — The Latest on Chris Christie's trip to a state beach shuttered because of the state government shutdown (all times local):

10:50 a.m.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's top deputy, who is running to succeed him as governor, says his use of a beach at a state park closed to the public because of the government shutdown "beyond words."

Republican Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno on Monday lashed out at Christie, saying she wouldn't be "sitting on the beach" if taxpayers also didn't have access to state beaches.

The GOP governor was photographed by NJ Advance Media on the beach at Island State Park, where the state provides a summer home to the governor.

Christie ordered the shutdown of nonessential state government, including state beaches and parks, amid a budget impasse.

Democratic gubernatorial nominee Phil Murphy also weighed in Monday, calling on Christie to get off the beach and get back to work.

somebody on the republican side at least understands .

we can all see why Trump would not put that PIG in his cabinet.

THIS IS FAKE NEWS BY THE LIBERALS. 

I live in North Jersey and can tell you that the Public does not have access to this part of the beach.  

That being said, this beach is my favorite beach on the Jersey Shore.  Very family friendly and you don't have to deal with the "Olive Garden Italians."  You know, the Guidos that MTV made popular.  

LRM - Right there with you.  Most non-Blacks from my part of Hudson County are Eye-Talian.

This looks very bad and to a politician it is very bad. 
unlike Trump christie is a politician and he is a pig .

( a pig will not share anything) he is a public servant 

those beaches are tax payer funded. they are publically owned property if he closes it to all he is no better than his fellow man.

impeach the pig. get the lred out and do your job , for what he wants to dismantle blue cross blue shield in Jersey or destroy the power government workers union have , maybe he can explain this as a beach study .... fat man can enjoy himself if he has it to himself.

Somewhere along the way, nearly all of these obnoxious narcissists lost sight of the fact that they work for the taxpayers, not the other way around. At least that's what we were taught in Civics class. What the hell happened ?

cheer up christie  has 6 months and a wake up he is enjoying a 5 yes 5 % approval rating i bet the next governor in New Jersey will be a democrat.
