The essence of betting, at least for me, has been to find trends and seek value in some of those trends. As I check the score in a game I did not (thankfully) bet, Duke - the No. 3 team in the nation - is down 25 in the second half to St. John's - who lost AT HOME, consecutively, to St. Bonaventure AND Fordham. Now with a season this unpredictable, how could we be much better than .500????
I'm pretty thankful I'm not below .300 the way this season is unfolding. Look at teams like UConn, G-town, Texas and try to figure out which team is going to show up. Look at Kansas State and Baylor and tell me what happened to them as the season progressed.
This is a funky-assed year, kids, and that we're able to hang at all around the .500 mark is pretty amazing to me.
