Clearly Pettitte has earned the reputation of a big game pitcher. And this is Carmona's first playoff start. But here's what they've done the last month of the season:

Pettitte - 29 innings pitched, 14 K, 5.59 era, 1.59 whip - 3 wins

Carmona - 35 innings pitched, 27 K, 1.78 era, 0.99 whip - 5 wins

Against the Yankees this year Carmona had 2 starts -

13 innings pitched, 9 K, 3.86 era, 1.16 whip

Pettitte pitched once against the Indians -

7.1 innings pitched, 4 K, 2.45 era, 1.23 whip

Experience definitely means something. But those numbers over the last month are a HUGE difference. I'm going with the hotter pitcher. And the team with a lot of confidence after last night.

Indians are getting/got the taste.....taste of victory......I am sure that they are aware 2-0 going to NY is huge......if not necessary. Petite is good pitcher and all but Cleveland's dormant hitting game seems re-awakened.

Look the Indians are a better team the only reason the Yankees are favored is because there are way more yankee fans who will bet on the yankees.  New York is 10 times the size of Cleveland. books want equal action, the only way to do that is to make the yankess favorites.  Carmona is just as good as Sabathia, and pitching wins big games.

Dont let the bookies win, take Cleveland. Plus money at home??? Are you kidding me.  Pettite is done, its October, his tank is empty. He got rocked at home by Toronto a few weeks back with their B team.

Noonan, Pettitte's numbers are slightly skewed by his last start in Baltimore. It was his "tune-up" for the playoffs. He didn't exert himself at all. Just enough to keep warm. But regardless Carmona, does look the better recent pitcher.
