San Diego may be the way to go here....this game looks too good to be true. If it was that much of a guarantee, why isn't the line at -200 or even higher....I can think of 1 million reasons why Arizona would beat them....along with everyone else in the universe. Take San Diego and make some

G. Maddux is not the type of pitcher that eats up innings, not at this stage of his career. The San Diego Padres would love to see him go deep into the game after last nights 22 inning loss to the Rockies which lasted more than 6 hours. Even though J. Peavy went 8 solid innings last night, the Padres still used 6 relievers from their bullpen and all of them threw at least 1 inning (14 innings total). There were also 13 position players used and pitcher R. Wolf even got into the game as a pinch hitter. The game ended after 1 a.m. local time. The Padres travel to Arizona today and you have to wonder how fatigued they'll be.
Although he's pitched well so far this season, Maddux is just 2-10 with a 4.88 ERA in 18 starts against the Diamondbacks. He's been even worse when facing them in Arizona going 1-6 with a 5.37 ERA in 11 starts. Those are not good signs for the future hall-of-famer who will be going for his 350th career win.
D. Haren will be the opposing pitcher tonight and he has only allowed 5 earned runs in 18 innings this season. He's 2-0 with 16 strike outs and just 3 walks. Although Haren has not received a decision in his career against the Padres, he has a 1.69 ERA with 15 strike outs in 16 innings against them.
Haren has one of the best offenses in the league behind him and has received 20 runs of supports in his three starts. The offense has been producing runs consistently and leads the majors with 93 runs and 24 homeruns.
This Diamondbacks team is playing the best ball in the NL right now, maybe even all of MLB. They're getting quality starts from their pitching staff and the offense and defense has been superb. I'm expecting them to be solid all year long and should be a World Series contender when it's all said and done.
The Padres have high hopes as well, but they continue to struggle offensively. They've gone 94 consecutive innings without a home run.
The Diamondbacks are 10-2 in their last 12 overall and 16-5 in their last 21 home games. Look for them to continue to roll and force Maddux to wait a little longer for his 350th career victory.

Young is listed for the Padres, he sucked donkeyballs in his last start, but overall has good numbers at Chase, this one depends on which Chris Young shows up
