The Falcons and Steelers played to a 9-9 draw last week before Pitt snapped off a 50 yrd td run in OT for a 15-9 win vs the ATL. Normally I'd say it was just a tough game but the disturbing thing for Falcons backers and fans is that heralded QB Matt Ryan failed to lead his team to more than 3 FG's of 49,39,23 yrds. The Steelers defense keep him and the Falcons out of the endzone and held on for the win in OT. The Falcons also allowed 353 total yards to a Steelers team going with a 3rd string QB as a starter. Arizona escaped St.Loius with a 17-13 win vs a Rams team with a rookie Sam Bradford as QB. AZ needed a 4th quarter td with 6:13 remaining to avoid the loss. Both AZ and STL coughed up the ball with 4 TO's each. This week AZ plays at a domed stadium again, only thing is it will be vs a Falcons team that always plays better at home in thier dome. Prior meeting mean nothing here since Kurt Warner is gone from AZ. The Falcons need to get on track this week and I have no doubt they will win the game. the line of ATL-6.5 is somewhat of a concern. Asking a team that only managed 9 points in week one to cover by 7 points is risky but ATL should get it done. I have a 75-25% confidence that they will and I'll have to back that up.

My Guesstimate - Atlanta-24 Arizona-16

I had Pittsburg last week (see game thread) but now I see the Falcons getting back on track at home with an ATS win.

Hoping the ATL gets on track here.  Going against a stout Steelers defense I saw them struggle, but the Cardinals are like swiss cheese.  They better not get off the throttle in the 4th and let AZ back door me.

i'll gladly take the points in this matchup as i believe falcons will cost people this year since they seem to be very overrated.  their defensive line is young and inexperienced and their offense isnt as scary as people like to think.  cards still have alot of weapons and derek andersen is very capable of running their offense. 

steelers beat the falcons with a great defense.  but the biggest eye-opener to me was that they didnt need much offense to beat them.  i think falcons defense will let alot of people down this year because i heard so many people in the media talk about how this team was the team to look out for and how they could win the division and blah, blah, blah.....

I'll take the Falcons -6.5 here, they will play better in their dome I'm betting. A backdoor cover is a little troublesome here however !!
