Carolina has had a coaching overhaul and also has lost QB Matt Moore to the Dolphins (oh, well). None of that will matter here because Arizona has Kevin Kolb now  Ha,ha,ha.

OK... Seriously. The Cards have a very good football guy at head coach and a better team so they should prevail in this tilt of NFL powerhou...er...teams.

I just can't get excited unless they show more cheerleaders on TV during this game.

My guesstimate is Arizona-17 Carolina-9

Cam Newton-  First Game Ever !
What vanilla offense you saw in pre-season will not apply here.
He has talent and did win a Championship.Yes rookies - even good ones take time.
My guess is he will bring more to this game than any opponent or bettor will expect.
Carolina has the toughest(S.O.S.)schedule.
The Cardinals,even at home are not one of the toughest.
Carolina will be in this game all the way and maybe Cam makes a Historic winning play !

The thing I can't shake is how last week, one night past curfew, Cam Newton's light was on and coach Rivera entered.  Rivera basically asked him if he wanted to QB the team or not?  (Newton was simmering in frustration & lack of confidence, upset that he was not owning up to 'to all that' in preseason -- letting the players and fans down).  Rivera basically sat with him for an hour into the night to basically coax Newton into a more stronger state of mind & help build his confidence back, and to take it week by week.  Now this was on Sirius NFL Radio, straight from Rivera's mouth.  So not sure how confident Newton is.  But it's concerning 1-2 weeks before the NFL season even begins for such to transpire?  Because it is confidence that was lacking and Rivera had to resolve this emotionally with him.  Just the sound of it all just made for a shaky Panthers/Newton year in my mind.  But hey, time will tell.

Cam is going to be a Bust like everyone predicts...I see Carolina having a rough / losing year.  I like Arizona in this one!

Give me the Cards minus the points.  Gonna be tough for Cam, first NFL game on the road?  Like Kolb and company to get the job done.  Cards pull away in the second half, rough start for the Panthers O.

Even if you think Cam Newon will be in the Hall Of Fame one day, why don't you go and look at what a true future Hall Of Famer in Peyton Manning did in his first professional game:

1 TD, with 3 INT's and 4 sacks for a pathetic rating of 58.6

The Cards aren't great, but Carolina is just horrible - just like they were last year.

Zona has ats problems vs the nfc south, but at home vs a team with a new coach & qb makes this a moneymaking play.

think carolina will be in this game. weakness for carolina is still DT but wells hasnt really proven anything so may be ok with carolinas lb backing em up.  But in past meetings Carolina hasnt EVER had an answer for Larry Fitz, he is a beast, even with dbl coverage he is an animal.  Think carolina plays well Cam with decent game and so sportscenter highlight runs but thinking carolina falls a FG short in Riveras debut. And I am a carolina fan and season ticket owner.

Carolina will be an improved team this year no doubt, I think they keep this one within 6.5.

I fail to see the love for Arizona.  They freaking suck.  Crappy OL, no running game, crappy defense other than maybe a couple of guys on the DL.  Yeah, they have Fitzgerald, but that's about it.  

Carolina isn't good, but they appear to have more pieces in place than Zona.  Awesome LBs, decent secondary and DEs, good OL, good running game.  

I'm no believer in Cam by any means, but I'm taking a whiff of this game and Carolina appears to be the pile that stinks less.
