The Saints have come back into their own the last month or so (since beating Pittsburgh at home) so they will definitely win the game but will they cover?
The line is now up to Saint -9.5 so the early money is coming in on NO. I'm very tempted to bet the Rams though since they play hard and are 9-3 ATS this season. Still I'm not convinced. They beat a horrendous Arizona team 19-6 last week but the Saints are in a completely different class. The Rams only manage to put up 19 points on the Cardinals now they're going up against a far better Saints D#. The Saints have put up at least 30 points the last four weeks so as long as the line stays under 10 I'll take the Saints.
The Rams have scored 20.5 points on average the last 10 games and I think they'll at least score 14 points, more like 17. So the total depends on the Saints offense. The line has gone down to 47. My initial thought was Saints 31 - Rams 17 so I'll take my chances on the Over since both teams could score more than this.

The Saints haven't really been dominating offensively this year like last year - giving 9.5 to the surging Rams might be too much - but, I'm still going to buy that 1 point hook so I have a touchdown and a field goal to play with. I also definitely like the over, too

Saints is back and healthy. They practiced with all their weapons this past week and I see a blowout. This is where Sean Peyton starts his no mercy rule. I will play the sSaints - 5 at the half being that S. Peyton likes to sit his players out at the end. Will continue my research.

It looks as if the Rams have serious issues on defense. Brees is a master in reading the coverage and gets all the info he needs from the eye up above on who will be in a man 2 man coverage before the snap. Everyone knows that the Dome is by far not the friendliest place to be the visiting team. Once again, I will say the this will be one of the highest scoring game in this season for the Saints. The offense is complimented by a defense whom is playing much better than they did last year. Smith, Vilma and the rest of the crew are looking to make a statement. This is a very important game for the Saints being that they are just 1 game back of the Falcons whom is traveling to Carolina and the Panthers are playing a lot better than they have 4-5 weeks ago. This could be a weekend where the Saints will be tied for first in the NFC South Division. First place will have Homefield advantage through the playoffs plus a bye. I really like their chances in going back to the Super Bowl. This game will determine how they will be in the playoffs as they now have a 98% healthy roster. IMO they have played well considering their handicaps in the last 7 games. The only thing that concerns me is how they do not close the games out after a big lead from the first half. I guess that is because Sean Peyton looks out for his starters and wanna make sure they are healthy for the playoffs.
1st Half Saints -6 for me. LARGE

New Orleans -9.5 , Rams look good but New Orleans is getting back into playoff form the last weeks of the Season. Brees + new sensation Chris Ivory are on Fire .(and they got Bush too)
Brees has a ton of weapons ! Throws all over them !!
" Well now they call him the Breeze He keeps Rollin' down the road " L. Skynard

The Rams in a fight with Seachickens to see who can win thier division at 7 and 9. Please. As much as I need the Saints to lose....because of playoff implications. They will roll here by a couple of TDs. Big play on Saints and a little larger on the over.

The Rams have been one of the best surprises of the season & have the ability to cover nearly any number asked of them. So what’s been the secret to their success thus far? Sam Bradford certainly for one, as he continues to prove that his reads and throws are moving the chains as he lacks the complimentary cast normally needed to be successful. Bradford is maturing quickly and while he has struggled on the road, it’s only natural and is something he’s beginning to overcome. The defense is doing its part as well as they are a feisty group up front that brings a lot of pressure to the quarterback with 35 sacks on the year. The Rams are a group of overachievers who will be looking to this game to validate themselves as a legitimate playoff contender.
The Saints have had some speed bumps this year but have now rattled off five straight wins since losing at home to the Browns and seem to be immune to adversity late in the game as Drew Brees can execute in crunch time better than any QB in the league. The Saints have struggled at covering the spread this year, but it was to be expected as the public normally pounds them no matter what the line as they take every team’s best shot – such is life as the reigning champs. The Saints should be able to reap the benefits of Reggie Bush’s explosiveness any week now and the Rams could be the unfortunate victim. On defense the Saints have given up a ton of offense in the last two weeks on the road, but will look to clamp down behind the clever mind of Greg Williams this week against a young QB who could easily be rattled by blitz schemes.
The Saints are finding their form and confidence and are arguably as much of a threat for the crown this year as they were last. New Orleans also has the benefit of a raucous home crowd that could make Bradford’s task of controlling the offense even more difficult. I think Steven Jackson and a strong defensive unit allow the Rams to make a game of this, but don’t be surprised if Brees opens up a 14 point lead early and the Saints gamble immediately afterwards with heavy blitzing.
