The Patriots looked more like the Patriots last week in their dismantling of the Texans as Gronk made his return from injury and helped jump-start an offense that had been missing a beat in recent weeks. It’s no surprise to anyone that New England is one of the best teams in the league when healthy and this week they’ll take on one of the worst teams in the league in the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee was wiped out by the Jets last week 30-8 and a loss like that leads to legitimate questions about player motivation at this point in the season. This is a game where the Titans figure to be down early and if that’s the case it’s going to be hard for players who are already banged up and bruised at this late stage of the season to put their bodies on the line and give their best in the later stages of the game. And as is the case with the Patriots, when they smell blood they usually go for the kill shot.
Tennessee is missing a number of their playmakers on offense including receivers Kendall Wright and Dexter McCluster while their pass defense should be easily picked apart by Tom Brady and the Patriots passing offense. NE -14. bol!!!
