3M Open

Put one in right when the odds came out this morning...Definitely some other guys i am eyeing will have a couple more.

Emiliano Grillo 30-1 (1.5 units)

I feel that this will be a popular play this week but there is good reason for it. In his last 10 starts he has 4 top 15s and a win. Finished t-6 last week at the open and this will be a much inferior field. There are other golfers with good form too but his course history stands out also. In only 3 starts here he has finished with two top 5s (2nd, 3rd). I don't know if there's a guy with a better mix of course history/current form in this field which is ultimately why i pulled the trigger on him. I think Grillo can notch his 2nd win of the year on a course he clearly has a liking too.

Grillo is a solid choice.

However,  im going with the guy that i have been sticking with the last 3-4 tournaments prior to the Open. 

Aberg. I like his game a lot. He will be in contention come Sunday. Plus, if i dont take him, ill be FOMO.

Adam Hadwin 40-1 (1 unit)

A lot of the same reasons as Grillo, has a 4th and 6th place at this course so history is there and will be well rested having not played since tpc deer run. Has played well all year with 5 top 10s, including 2 runner ups. One of which came recently at the rocket mortgage. He could be due to win one and he’s shown multiple times he can work his way into contention at this course. 

Adding: 

Aaron Rai 50-1 (1 unit) 

Just like the way he’s been playing lately. Think he fits well on this course with his accuracy considering all the water in play (5th in pga in driving accuracy). Very good approach player as well. If he gets the putter going he should be in the mix.

Tom Hoge 90-1 (1 unit)

He wasn’t really on my radar initially, but he finished 4th here last year (came after 6 straight missed cuts). In bad form now but he likes this course (was quoted saying it last year), has played junior/amateur tournaments here (also quoted) and has bounced back in a big way on this course in the past. I think it will be good vibes for hoge this week so I will take a shot on him.
