In the same bracket. I actually picked moore to come out of it because I was hoping for the kuchar upset yesterday. Now I am squeezed. I also wanted Piercy :( to win..
Just seems the ranking are getting a little off this year. Too much credit is going to the second level european's and asian's vs the second level U.S. players that seem to be a shot or two better.
It may not pan out in the ryder cup, etc. Even when you look at last week at Riviera. That course and grass was set up for the europeans as U.S players dont play on it near as much. What happened, U.S. dominated it...
No doubt the top 4 -8 international players are right there at the top. I feel 3 of the 4 listed above are right there and recent play does not count enough in standings, rankings, etc. Luke Donald is not playing well and does not deserve a 5 over moore 7
Visa Versa - Stricker has fallen off a bit but gets a 3 from early last year play. Coetzee just won but is a 14 ?
Wait til they take that putter out of Adam Scotts hands. He is easily going to be short odds based on past play, but I wont bet him at all...Looks like mahan has a walk to the final 4 and he is good at this. And Jimmy walker a 6 seed... come on already.... Those seeds too dont have any effect on odds at all.
I think Horschel, Reed, English, Kirk, stalling, Woodland, Stadler, all move way up in world rankings this year. Or they should with the other winners. Maybe I am biased toward the U.S. Thing is I am a gambler, not a cheer person. I just call them as I see them and never show biased. I wonder if I am and that is why I am asking for a response to this...
I follow the euro tour too. It seems only a few big guns over there. Sergio, McElroy, Schwartz, Coetzee, Stenson. I feel that Kuchar, Moore, Speith, Dufner, and the ones listed above are their equal.
Conclu ; Seems that several years back the U.S. fell behind and there was no upcoming talent. Well, it is here. U.S. has 24 of the top 50 and it should be 32 -34 world rankings.
