I was in Tampa, Florida, visiting my brother-in-law over the weekend when I finally got the chance to test out the Foresight Falcon. I’ve been eyeing it for a while, but I never actually had the chance to hit on one until now. He had his set up in his garage, and the moment I stepped in, I could tell this was different from any other launch monitor I’ve used.
I’ve tested a lot of systems—GCQuad, GCHawk, Full Swing KIT, SkyTrak+—but the Falcon felt like a whole new level of precision. Right off the bat, what stood out was how instant and accurate the readings were. No misreads, no lag, no second-guessing the numbers. The quadrascopic camera system picked up everything with crazy precision, and I wasn’t even using fiducial markers on my clubs.
Since it’s an overhead-mounted system, it’s completely hands-off, which makes a huge difference compared to floor-based units like the GCQuad or Full Swing KIT. With the Falcon, there’s no need to constantly reposition the unit for left- or right-handed players. You just step in, take your shot, and the system tracks everything automatically. It’s seamless, which is why I see it being a perfect option for a business setup or even a high-end home simulator.
We played a full session using FSX Play, and the course graphics were next-level. The impact delay was non-existent, which is something I always notice with radar-based systems. I also liked that the Falcon didn’t require marked balls, unlike some other high-end monitors.
After testing it out, I’m seriously considering getting one for myself, but the price tag is definitely up there. It’s not cheap, and you’re paying for top-tier accuracy and a hassle-free experience. If you’re looking for something that can handle high-volume use, is easy to maintain, and gives you tour-level data, the Foresight Falcon is a beast.
I walked away from that session really impressed, and I’m already trying to figure out if this is my next big golf investment. If I do pull the trigger, I’ll definitely be setting it up the right way because once you hit on the Falcon, it’s hard to go back to anything else. I would give this launch monitor a 8.6/10.
