Genesis Invitational 2021

This field looks real strong. Distance is key here but I see some nice value on ball strikers. I locked in on McIlroy before I realized there is a possibility of him switching up clubs. DJ is amazing but wow his odds are getting ridiculous now. Ton of guys that could burn me but just playing this out with no other moves this tourney. I haven't wagered on Spieth much at all but he is in great form and likes the course. Will see if he has a one round blow up or can bring it consistently.

The Korn Ferry is back for the first time in 2021. I added a little on the LECOM Suncoast Classic as well. Wide open.....

I typically bet H2H tournament matchups but am always looking for action.

Using your list as a starting point, I narrowed down the first round leaders to Wyndham Clark. I really liked his early starting time. I was able to bet him at 16/1 to finish in the 1st round top 5. He finished tied for 4th.

Yeah there is a lot of money to be made on golf. 1st Round wagers are risky but a TON of profit if you can hit them once in awhile. I knew Clark wasn't going to hold on with the lead at -4 but came close. Homa had a shot, but only shot -1 on the back 9 in the 1st Rd. He was tied with Burns at -5 for a little bit. Big difference is Homa missed a putt for birdie and Burns shot -3 on the last 3 holes of the round. Almost had 73/1 to pay out on it but it happens all the time. Same with the Korn Ferry one as well. Lipsky was -7 thru 13 holes, goes +1 last 5 holes of 1st round. Just the way it goes. Anyone can cap golf, it really just takes one bad shot/hole for the wheels to come off.

Burns has shot amazing through 2 rounds at -12. Be interesting to see if he can stay hot for a whole tourney. I have Homa and Spieth at -6. DJ is -7 and hasn't even looked like his regular amazing self yet. I try to have short term memory with golf. One tourney I can have a lot of contenders the next I might not have any. Golf is fickle and just have to ride the wave.....

It looked like going into the last few holes Finau and Homa were going to battle it out for the win. Burns had a shot but felt like his momentum was running out. Once Finau hit that birdie at 17 I was thinking a good chance Homa was done. Homa was not reading the greens that well. Majority of his close missed putts were to the right of the hole each time. Homa hit that birdie on 17 to tie it. Remarkable shot on 18 to put it away and missed it. It was almost the kiss of death when the announcer says this is almost over. Happens at the free throw line for a good shooter all the time LOL

In the moment I was pissed and really surprised he composed himself to come back. Once I saw him hit it against the tree I figured it was over. That was just an amazing recovery shot and finished it off. Fortunately and unfortunately this stuff happens all the time. It doesn't always happen on the last groups but one hole can make or break you real fast in this game. Definitely had to sweat it out today but was worth it this time...

Great hit on Homa..........longshots do come in sometimes.

I wager 1st round and usually add outright win plays to keep me interested in the tournament. It actually happens in golf quite a bit, just picking the longshot on a given week/tournament is tough. I really am surprised more non-golf fans who like to wager don't cap this stuff. Ton of people play future wagers...World Series winner, Super Bowl,college sports tournaments, etc. Only thing with golf is you can wager it more frequently, usually higher odds and don't have to wait a full season to wait it out.  

I'm goofy .  I mixed up matt wolf and Homa. They both look alike! .
