Came out a couple weeks ago after dissapearing for a month. BAM ! A big win in Ausi, and now this, over this group is very very impressive... He is still just 21. Last year when he finished what seemed to be 20th in every tour. I actually figured he was going to be just another tour guy.
Blaze onto the scene, win one or two and settle in at 800K a year for 20 years living happily ever after... Going to do a little research
Of course I watched, if you see ALL my posts, my betting etc.... There are many guys that do THAT ! Plenty of top 25s, a few top tens each year and live comfortable within the 500K - 2.5 range each and every year and Never win, or rarely... Won't go thru the whole list, but it was looking like he was going to fall into that catagory after watching LAST year...
Went away for a few weeks, picked up SOMETHING on his putting and that is the difference, so he says.. When betting, which is what most of us do here, that type of thing never flys onto a page. Thus, it is hard to bet on a 21 year old that is talented but seemed to lack the finish.
Happy for him and AMerican golf as they needed a Winner.. Fowler, Na, Kirk, Simpson, Sneddeker all made big bucks this year and are top 50 in the world, but rarley win. It is hard to win, and easier for them to just play great, finish in top 10 and NOT WORRY about the drive for number 1. garbage, I dont blame anyone or say anyone is BAD, not competing, etc.. Just figured Speith was going to fall into that area... To do what he did is amazing, kind of like Horschels finish...
Take Dufner for example, Super talent.... And I am sure his wife wants him to be #1 in the WOrld, all while making sure she gets photo shoots, travels the world, eats at the best places, etc.. I can tell you now, they will not stay togehter... It will never last and I can see in her that twinkle eye, it says... "This is about me" He said he wanted to retire after X amount of years.. She doesn't want that at all, for the millions to go away and settle down.. Bet they fight now over having a kid... Telling oyu, wait and see, watch for her on talk shows, cover of vogue....
All the time, his game falls off having to give her the attention and not his game. When he starts trying to play better, it will be "did you see what she wrote on twitter " ? Or, did you see who sahe is with ? Golf wives have been the best, for the most part... Sabbatini wife comes to mind when thinking of this girl...
We'll see....
