Good ole pebble beach. We’ll get a rotation in the 1st 2 rounds with pebble and spyglass hill, followed by the weekend rounds both played at pebble. Most of my handicapping will be on the more difficult pebble beach since we will get the majority of golf played there. Both courses are par 72’s with 4 par 5’s. Pebble measures out at very short at 6,972 yards and a good majority of the holes are right on the coast. The main defense of this course are the coastal winds which can bring real carnage if they show, otherwise it’s quite easy. Pebble has always been primarily a putting and wedge fest where elite off the tee play is largely nullified given the fact that there are many tee shots where players will leave the driver in the bag. Fairways are also very wide and the rough is not penal what so ever. The caveat to that is distance can be pretty advantageous at spyglass, so if using any off the tee metrics I would look for longer OTT guys. This course has the most bunkers of any course on the pga tour, so bunker play is definitely something to be looking at. The bunkers around the green can be pretty tricky. Scrambling is an important aspect at pebble with how small these greens are and the fact that wind gusts almost always show up at some point. All in all the handicap for pebble is really simple, this course has always been a second shot golf course and then it comes down to whoever can make the most putts. I’m looking for elite wedge players, players with putting success on poa greens, and the ability to scramble from bunkers and around the green. I prefer guys that have had some success at pebble, but not a necessity for me. I’m considering waiting on better info on weather as I really think there could be a big edge on guys that play spyglass on whichever day has more benign weather due to the easier conditions. As of now it doesn’t look like there will be an edge to be found in that regard, but it’s obviously too early to try to predict that. I’ll be back with some outrights

Spyglass in a vacuum is a harder course, but if windy conditions show up pebble will likely play harder. Just clearing that up cause I mentioned pebble was the more difficult course on accident

@Rollz Really good price on Denny. 8 years on tour without a win, he’s due.
Good course for him, there’s a reason he’s played well here in the past.
BTW for anyone reading that doesn’t use BET365 for golf wagers is missing out on value. Consistently have the best prices across the board, most other books have Denny at 70 or 80-1.
