Fabian Gomez -145 vs Vijay Singh- Since March. Vijay has played 19
competitive rounds on the PGA tour. Two of those rounds he has broken 70
while making two out of eight cuts. He is senior PGA eligible being 54
years of age, I just do not understand why he continues to play on this
tour. Gomez has played 29 competitive rounds in the same time frame as
Singh. Nine of those rounds have broken 70 while making five cuts and
missing five cuts. Not phenomenal numbers, but much better than Singh.
Gomez shot an opening round 66 with six birdies and two bogies. Singh
shot 72 with zero birdies and two bogies on Thursday. The cut appears to
be hovering around even par so Singh needs to shoot a 68 most likely to
have any chance of making the cut. He will have to press to try and go
low. Gomez on the other hand is coming off his best placing of the year
in his last tournament (T18) and could really use a good check this week
to climb up the money earnings list... I will take a swing with him at
-145
X Schaufelle -110 vs Glover- Going with the hot hand in this
spot. X is coming off a T5 in the US Open which is a ridiculous placing
for his first major. Glover is having a solid year but I think X looks
like he may be coming into his own and might go on a good run here in
his rookie season... FWIW X opened with a 66 and Glover had a 72 for his
opening round.
Both of these plays are momentum plays. Gomez and Schaufelle are
playing well coming into this week and hoping the momentum continues...
Glover has been solid this year and may bounce back Friday, But this
rookie is rolling right now and I will take a shot on him at -110
Fade or follow best of luck guys...

I hope X comes on strong again Friday. have him in a tourney match play over Martin Laird and also a small "sprinkle" to win @ 100-1. X over Glover pretty "pricey" -135 @ William-Hill

Push is much better than losing. All in all feel pretty lucky with the outcome. X was disappointing today. Watching Gomez's second shot on 17 was sickening. On to tomorrow!
