3-1 last week at Harbor Town, now 39-32-2 (+8.81 Units) for the 2019/20 season.
Travelers Championship 72-Hole Matchups
Corey Conners (-125) over Scottie Scheffler (2 Units)
- Conners is a ball-striking machine and has hit the ball better than his 19th and 21st place finishes the last 2 weeks would indicate. He gained +1.60 strokes tee to green at Harbor Town and 1.11 strokes at Colonial. If the putter can get going, he will be in contention to win. Scheffler didn't play last week and finished 55th at Colonial. No course history to compare against here so I'll ride the hot hand with Conners.
Kevin Na (-101) over Byeong-Hun An (1 Unit)
- Going to fade An again this week after he went 6 over at Harbor Town to miss the cut by a mile. Na missed the cut by 1 at Colonial but hit the ball alright. It was the putter that let him down, losing a stroke to the field there. After taking last week off, I expect him to bounce back here. An's ceiling is definitely higher, but he has been much more 'miss' than 'hit' in the first two weeks back. I'll take the more steady player in Na.
Keegan Bradley (-122) over Chez Reavie (1 Unit)
- Going against the defending champ in Reavie here. However, Keegan finished 2nd in 2019. Reavie has been a little shaky in the first 2 events back, missing the cut at Colonial and finishing 74th (last after the cut) at Harbor Town with below-average stats across the board. Keegan took last week off after finishing 32nd at Colonial with 4 rounds in the 60's. Keegan has not missed a cut at the Travelers in 9 appearances, which bodes well in head to head matchups. Chez really hasn't done much since getting in the winner's circle here last year. I'll lay the short price on Bradley.
Tony Finau (-107) over Marc Leishman (0.5 Units)
- Learned my lesson going against Finau last week - he just doesn't miss cuts or get himself in trouble. He's fired 8 straight rounds under par since the Tour restarted. Leishman has a win here all the way back in 2012 and is pretty consistent himself. But with a missed cut at Colonial, I'm going to continue with the theme of players that have shown something in the first two weeks back and take Tony for a small play.
