Firestone is a tough course but does allow the big hitters to bomb away. However you better be able to hit those tiny greens and stick there.
Here are some non-fave players who I think are well suited for this course:
Henrik Stenson leads the PGA in Driving Accuracy and is 2nd in GIR. He's finished 3rd and 2nd in his last two outings and has played this course six times. I really like his chances.
Zach Johnson can also put it in the short grass and he's played Firestone 9 times with a couple of T10s in there. His play has been better of late with a 6th and a 2nd in the past two tourneys.
Adam Scott finished 3rd two weeks ago and won this event two years ago. He has played this event 10 consecutive years with limited success. Perhaps his strong play of late plus all that experience will help.
BONUS: Rollins to win the Reno-Tahoe Open.
