Why is tiger considered a bad bet?

 I very casually bet golf and tennis. Not nearly like nba, college bball, football etch. When you bet a +200 dog say in mlb or nba its considered a good bet. So even though someone like tiger is a huge fav, its still like +700 for a top golfer. Its like like your laying -500?  Just wondering

i am a very casual better, but what you say makes zero sense....when u bet a dog @+200 they have one opponent, how many does tiger have?  you should probably stop gambling.

I think he's talking about betting Tiger to win the tournament at +700

Yes that's what I mean. I know he( or whoever the fav is) is going up against every other guy as opposed to one but I see a lot of picks for +8000 or whatever dogs.  Those guys are also going up against the entire field. Do those picks actually hit? +700 never seems like a bad bet to me

an 80/1 could easily hit any given weekend. We've seen a couple longshots hit this year already. Tiger is just at a different level when he is on so is it a bad bet? Sometimes. Thats the answer. And sometimes its a good bet. Like when he wins lol.

Anything lower then 6 and 7 to 1 tho and your not gettin much value IMO. GL.

Also a lot of Tiger's dominance was because of the fear factor.

Anyone paired up with him on Day 4, they played awful and Tiger ran away with it.

Now a days, after the hookers and all, you have tons of players that have no fear to begin with, they are no longer afraid of Tiger, and Tiger seems to have an even stronger chance to triple bogie a hole on Day 4 than his playing partner.

1) Betting a +200 is not always a good bet since all depend of the value . Taking a +200 who will win 25% will not give you a good ROI 

2) +200 dog in US Sports is 1v1 ML bet. Tiger @ +700 is against the whole field...

I think any play at 25-1 or lower n golf is bad!!! I usually play 1 or 2 golfers n the euro tour each week....
