Sports is 90% mental...sometimes 99.9%...I was concerned he hadn't looked right in other majors and then all this fanfare about playing at home...and I even took the "sure thing" to finish top 10 at even money....and in 1 hole has he completely blown it all? Quite possibly...just proves again some thrive under pressure and some dive...all this crap all week about coming home...just wasn't good..

In baseball I've seen Nolan Arenando last summer play in Anaheim at home and go 0-12..you just have to beat yourself first...

It is British Open he is only 7 shots back after hitting it OB and taking unplayable on opening hole.  If he can finish where he is at or better that is great round.

The moment was too big for him! 

Did anyone see his press conference? I think it was Wednesday night? Sounded like a guy playing reverse psychology on himself. It didn't work at all Rory!! Saying stuff like...I'm just going to take this all in. This is an historic year being here in N. Ireland, blah, blah, blah.....
