Put a couple in this morning that I have a good hunch on… This course is very reliant on accurate drivers of the ball (rated 4th in missed fairway penalty), strong approach play as usual, as well as an emphasis on good putting on these tricky green complexes.
Denny McCarthy 35-1 (1.5 units)
It just feels like he’s due for a win. Greens are tricky here so I don’t mind taking the best putter in the field on a short positional course where there should be ample birdie opportunities. Idk if anyone in this field has had a better season overall I like the value with this number.
Brendan Todd 90-1 (1 unit)
Probably my favorite pick when going down the board a bit. Very accurate driver (10th in pga tour driving accuracy), can get hot with his irons, and a very solid putter. These are the recipes to success at Sedgefield. Has two runner ups this season one of which coming just a couple weeks ago. Has played well as of late and this course is a perfect fit for his game. I like Todd’s chances
Adam Hadwin 55-1 (1 unit)
Another combination of accurate driving, solid approach play, and very good putting. When driving distance takes a back seat Hadwin has a chance with his solid iron play and ability to make putts. (4th in pga in putts inside 10 ft) Also had a runner up earlier in the month and has always been able to go low in easy scoring conditions. Another good course fit for a guy that’s been in the mix recently (2nd and 12th place finishes in last 5 starts)
I may have 1 more kinda likin Aaron Rai as well…

There are so many golfers you could go with, especially longshots. You could take Alex Smalley at 65-1 as he's a member there, played the course over 100x.
So far, it's been the season of first timers. And i think Denny can get his 1st victory here. Then there's JT Poston who said after last week that he goes into a tournament to not get 2nd place.
I havent decided yet on who I'm taking as im also focussing on the women's Scottish Open (i like Lydia). But good luck you. Ill probably have my first 1 or 2 plays by tomorrow and the official ones which will probably be 3 total by 3

Wow I didn’t know that about Smalley. And it’s funny I looked yesterday and saw him at 35-1. Also Brenean Todd is now 45-1 when I grabbed him at 90-1. A lot of big fluctuations kinda strange. Good luck on your picks

Good thing i took Smalley 65-1 when i liked him as he's now 45-1. He hasnt played in a tournament for the last 2-3 weeks. I'm guessing he's been practicing at his home course preparing for this tournament.
I took Todd, but at 65-1. These are the 2 Im rolling with.
I just dont want Aberg because I took him the last 4 times he's played. He's cost me anxiety big time
Watch him do well here.
Also, found out that Chesson Hadley is a North Carolina native. Finishing 15th and 8th the last 2 years. So, he might be worth a look.
Something tells me about Si Woo as he has great history at this course. But he's missed the cut in his last 2 tournaments. Who knows.
Good luck. Still regretting big time about not taking Harman 2 weeks ago as I said he'd be a good longshot. FML

Gl Raider I do like the picks and appreciate you sharing that info. You had me really considering Smalley but instead….
Aaron Rai 40-1 (1.5 units)
5th on tour in driving accuracy on a course that will weed out guys that can’t hit fairways. He also ranks 2nd on tour on approaches from 100-125 yds, which will be a shot he should see often this week. This is about as good of a spot as you’ll see for him and has been in good form. Couldn’t pass him up think he has a really good week at Sedgefield
