Another good series to watch here boys. This first game will go to OVIE and the CAPS, after this game things will really tighten up. I look to see "JOHNNY ROCKETS" and CO. to come out of the series victors though.

If we look at the momentum over the last 19 games of the season which was crunch time for each of these two, you will see that Washington was 12 wins 7 lost The islanders on the other hand backed in with 6 wins and 13 lost.

Washington has the number one goal scorer Ovechkin and Backstrom leads the league in assists.The Capitals have the best powerplay while the islanders are ranked 26th on the penaltykill. 

 When it comes down to Goalies the caps have the edge Holtby is 3rd with a 2.15 GAA The islanders Halak is 25th with a 2.43 GAA

The Islanders have lost 2 out of 3 down the stretch, I will take caps game one if they lose just double up on game 2. I don't believe the suddenly the islanders will come out of their coma to sweep the caps so it should be a safe chase.
