@Unders_Club Since you’re a football expert, you should know Mahomes is going to have to run. I’m not so concerned with his plant foot (which is important to throwing) but his ability to scramble effectively. Bottom line is that he is injured, will be limited. Justify your bet however you like, I’ll put my money on the better QB and secondary. ”Play better when hurt….” |

Certainly one of the dumbest. Can’t believe someone said that you play better hurt. But apparently the OP knows more about football than everyone here so…. Wasn’t it Mike Tyson that said, “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” Well, everyone has a plan until you have large men chasing you and you have to put that sore ankle to the test in a live game. |

I just don't understand why all of these people cry "fix!" Understand the game, the books don't need to "fix" anything. Even money on both sides ensures a profit. END. OF. STORY. Its like the election conspiracy people....can you imagine the sheer workload to scheme fixing a football game? Then to pull all of this off without someone, somewhere coming out with the truth. It would ruin the sportsbetting industry. Better to put out sharp numbers and manipulate the numbers to have even money. Simple. But you know, continue to think the games are fixed. |

The no pass interference call was the spread winner! You can’t handicap that!
in NFL Betting The Higgins non call was just that...a non call. Incidental contact while he was adjusting to catch the ball. Tell Ramsey to get his head out of the way. Not every incidence of contact is a penalty. Every referee knows this. Lets say the ref saw it as Ramsey impeding Higgins arm...an interference penalty. Most times they will hold the flag waiting for the play to unfold. Since Higgins caught the pass, whats the point of calling the penalty? Bottom line is that calls are missed all of the time. There are things that you just cannot handicap and sometimes you're on the wrong side. Best play another game if you don't like it. |

You learned the two greatest things in life, never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut.
-Jimmy Conway, Goodfellas This saying has kept me out of a lot of trouble. Watch the show COPS, amazing the amount of people that self-incriminate. SHUT YOUR MOUTH!

Now I hear on the news that the Ohio Chamber of Commerce is against legalization. Their rationale....afraid of what it will do to worker productivity. Another corporate interest scared that they won't be able to squeeze every last ounce of labor from you so that they can make money.
Maybe if they didn't make the working environment so crappy, people wouldn't feel the need to escape from reality on the weekends. Makes my head spin

I will be watching closely from an Ohio border state. Agree that RO's amendment isn't the best solution...but it is a solution. I hate the fact that you need millions of dollars to get an initiative on the ballot.
I keep hearing the case for keeping it illegal and the loudest sentiment is, "think of the children!" Which is complete BS. I had more access to marijuana in high school than I do now. Problem is that now if I get caught my job and subsequent future would be in jeopardy....all over a plant. Reality seems to point in the direction of this amendment not passing as the Ohio legislature, once they learned of the amendment, put an anti-monopoly initiative on the ballot. Even if the marijuana initiative passes, if the anti-monopoly ballot also passes it would take precedent over the marijuana initiative which would make the marijuana amendment illegal. So, while both initiative are good, common sense ideas, both cannot be enacted. And the absurdity of our government rolls on.

12 years of Catholic education here. I am with melossinglet...once I was mature enough to form my own critical thoughts and ideas the notion of God became absolutely ridiculous. Actually...it was more about religion. Only a religion would preach the Golden Rule while slaughtering those that don't believe their brand of bullshit. The Crusades to what ISIS is doing now...unbelievable the amount of death and destruction. All in the name of a god that is "all loving and all forgiving". It all turns my stomach.
If you are religious and truly live up to their teachings of love and forgiveness...good for you. It has enriched your life and no doubt those around you. I will also be thinking what a simpleton you are and questioning why you need a reason to be a good person. Why the reward of heaven has to be the impetus of your good deeds. BTW, what the darn is "fish on Friday" during Lent? I always thought that you sacrificed something you enjoy in observance of Jesus dying for our sins. The signs for fish frys in my area tout fried fish, mac and cheese, desserts, beer...not much of a sacrifice IMHO. My guess is that if you went to one of these things, half of the people don't know why they are doing what they are doing. It is all laughable. |

Wouldn't it be funny if you took them to the woodshed betting full games? I realize that it would be foolish on your part since you are doing well, but what a way to really stick it to them.
Thats like doing really well at blackjack then having the pit boss come over and say, "we can't pay you until you play some slots."

I watched a C-SPAN special about Colorado's first year of this. It was quite interesting listening to all points of the debate. Personally, I think it's a bad thing because I believe it's a gateway drug and I believe long term use will cause brain damage and the availability to kids is much easier because it's everywhere. The real problem they're having is the commercialization, 300 stores in Denver alone as well as the eatables (lack of oversight, kids getting them because they don't look like what they are). Of course the lefties are in favor of it, anything that makes the public more malleable is a great thing. Don't hurt your back shoveling snow Detox, I know Massachusetts hasn't legalized weed yet to help relieve your pain... Steel, you are wasting your breath. People like Killer B and Detox base their decisions on what they think they know versus actual evidence. See above as Killer B believes marijuana is a gateway drug and believes that it will lead to brain damage and availability to minors. Actual scientific and observational evidence suggests otherwise. Another ironic twist to this is the prevalent amount of right-leaning people screaming to keep it illegal and reverse prohibition are the same ones that cry out for personal liberties and freedom. These people will look the other way while companies dump waste into our rivers as long as it makes them money,,,and are adamant that "big government" has no role in industry, yet want to push their morality on others, brandishing those that chose to use marijuana as "lazy" or having no drive. I am hoping that they change their motto to a more realistic line, "More freedom and liberty....as long as you chose the same freedoms and liberties as me!" |

My point of offering a scenario is not to excuse stupid behavior, it was to demonstrate that our judicial system is based on the idea that you are innocent until proven guilty. This man has every right to walk around with a golf club, no matter how "inappropriate" you deem it to be.
NO, I would not go into a church or dr office with my tool belt on, but I have the right to do so. Last time I checked, stupid/odd behavior isn't illegal. BTW, you all know damn well that if the man was white, he wouldn't have been given a second thought.

Ridiculous statement. This is akin to: "all black people are criminals", or "all Hispanics are farm laborers", or "all Asians are bad drivers" One problem that society faces is that most people do not know their Constitutional rights. You are free to move about as you see fit and police officers do not have the right of detain you without a reason. If stopped, you do not have to answer any questions, you do not have to tell the officers ANYTHING (right to remain silent). Officers will ask you questions in order to establish probable cause (where are you going, what are you doing, etc.) so that they can escalate the interrogation. The only thing you have to do when stopped by an officer is identify yourself. They must identify their reason for stopping you and cannot detain you for an unreasonable amount of time. Watch the show "cops", it is amazing the amount of people that freely give officers ammunition to harass. There are many good articles online about how to handle yourself should you be stopped. Know your rights, don't allow yourself to be harassed. With that being said, the street is no place to argue your rights. Be respectful and keep your mouth shut. You will get a court hearing and anyone that graduated law school will be able to get you cleared (as long as you are innocent!) The man with the golf club has every right to walk around with it. Maybe he just bought it from someone and is walking to his car. As far as it being perceived as a weapon? You can make that case for literally anything. A regular walking cane could be used as a weapon just as easily as a golf club. I do some contracting on the side and often have a tool belt on with a hammer and utility knife...are these weapons too? |
