SMU chokes in 2H. They've been close in 1H for most of their games, only to get destroyed 2H, including last week against ECU.
But now that Houston have figured out Davis doesn't protect the ball, and they are +3 in 1H turnovers, I doubt there will be any value backing the Cougars 2H. 2H line will probably be -14 Houston.

The outcome of this game was down to motivation. When SMU doesn't want to play, they get blown out. SMU could easily cover if they showed up.
I don't think anyone expected Houston to be uninterested in playing football.

Houston d-backs look absolutely horrendous. Much worse than last week. The Briles legacy is still showing on defense too.

Now with that being said, it is very convenient for the Alumni base to forget that program was getting drilled week in and week out for the two (2) seasons prior to Coach Strong taking that job (a lot like the majority of the American public blamed President Obama for the countries woes during his first term); in other words, Mac Brown non-coaching axx left the cupboard extremely bare e.g. Jesus Christ himself would have struggled to get five wins with that roster Strong inherited. It will take Coach Strong at least four (4) recruiting classes to get his type of athlete in that program to compete at the high level Horns fans have grown accustomed. Now, whether he gets those four (4) years needed to turn that pile of cow dung around is up in the air as the athletic director that hired him is gone; but if he is terminated, he will have a head coaching job at another big time program before the ink is dry on the HUGE buyout check is dry. |

Give me Houston all the way to the bank. SMU has played a tough schedule and tonight it will catch up with them. The Tulsa line opened at -5.5 This line is -25.5 Big swing. I'm not sure blind faith has much to do with it. SMU could easily backdoor if Houston jump out to a 28+ halftime lead.

Statistically, this is nearly a replay of the Tulsa game. Tulsa is #121 against the pass and #119 against the run. Nearly identical to SMU. Tulsa is #12 in passing offense, and SMU is #32. Neither Tulsa nor SMU can run the ball.
All signs point towards an SMU play, but Houston is a bit more potent at home, and though SMU and Tulsa have similar ordinal rankings, the raw stats favor Tulsa. Motivation will decide this game.

Keep telling yourself that, but Vegas will continue to bait us all with their deeply discounted Clemson lines, and Dabo will keep finding ways to f everyone who backs his program.

This is Dabo's second time screwing his backers, though I was burned on the over this time.
In Louisville he kicked a bull$hit fg, and then promptly gave up a touchdown on the ensuing kickoff. He is delusional

All I can say is that I hate Dabo Swinney with a burning passion. Only an a$$hole of his magnitude can turn a blowout into a nail-biter.

Don't worry Irish. Swinney will not put this ball in the end zone.

Lol. Looks like the Louisville game all over again. Puss out, and then let your players put the other team back in the game.

Dabo is going what he does best, let teams hang around. If Clemson scored on that drive, ND would be playing from three possessions down in horrific, worsening conditions.
