I do believe IU is one of the best plays this Saturday if your taking a Dog. IU has played several teams tough and at what point do they break thru and actually get a victory out of one of these games? Coach Tom Allen is actually doing a nice job at keeping his players engaged and fired up each and every week despite losing multiple games within reach. I think IU scores enough points in this one at home to cover the spread. GL everyone if they make a play on this game! |

This is perhaps against the grain of many opinions in the upcoming Ohio State/Iowa game, but here is my prediction.................... *Iowa +16.5 or 17 *Game at Kinnick Stadium (typically a great atmosphere and hard for visiting teams) *Iowa's QB playing pretty well with managing the game (very few turnovers) *Knowing Iowa's coach, they will look to establish time of possession and play as tough of run stop defense as possible All that said, I am predicting a week for the Buckeyes to further spread themselves apart from the rest of the Big Ten after last week's big victory. JT is thriving and OSU will put up over 40 on Iowa (yes 40). Now, if they go over 40 then my money is on their defense to give up less than 23 points all day long. OSU could also benefit from turnovers and or perhaps defensive touchdowns too. Lastly, I am calling for a big game from the buckeyes return game (kickoffs and punts or one or the other). I expect one or two big plays in this category of the game. OSU 41 Iowa 16 Buckeyes roll and prove most people wrong because my hunch is that most people think Iowa will be a tough test at their stadium (much like they did against Penn State). No let down here, pure efficiency and domination!!!! GL Everyone this week! Any input is encouraged for or against!!! |

This wager comes down to how Michigan responds, number 1 factor of all. I don't care even if Rutgers actually won one or two games in the Big Ten, Michigan controls this game (if they want to). My wager is on them to cover and blow up Rutgers due to a sense of urgency and pride. Hope I am not wrong.
Michigan 41 Rutgers 13

Game is a coin flip to me.........................
Both teams winning in past few weeks, Michigan State with a few more in a row than that of Northwestern. Both teams have similar recipes for success with running games, not as much passing attack for either team and defenses that try to be aggressive with stopping the run. If I were to make a play on this, I would lean towards Sparty. I think Dantonio relishes on underdog mentality which his team has been this way for the majority or all year. Yes, they are -2 or -2.5 but the bigger picture is that no one thinks Michigan State has a remote chance to win the Big Ten let alone the Big Ten East for spot in the Big Ten Championship game. All this said, lean on MSU but think there are better plays available this week in college football. GL if you chose on this one!

appreciate the comments folks...................unfortunately for my initial prediction on this game, weather forecast is looking gloomy for Saturday's game. I hope the rain holds off or else this could be a smash mouth contests, potential fumbles/picks and not a great passing attack (especially down the field) if weather is terrible. Hard game to pick as I alluded to prior up top!

Game Spread: No Play for me
To me: -Too great of chance this game could be within the spread for either team -Too great of chance this game could be won by 10+ by either team A la.....................that should be why this game should be a good one to watch, among many other reasons. That said, my play is the over. I know that both defenses are very good and deserve attention and respect. My play is more so due to all the play makers on the field on offense that will end up making too many plays. In addition, if any turnovers happen to shorten fields obviously that is extra help in this play (I expect at least one turnover if not more to make impact the game). OSU: Barrett, Dobbins, Weber, Campbell, Dixon, Hill, Victor, Baugh (all are rolling and executing since Oklahoma) PSU: McSorley, Barkley, Gesiki, Hamilton, Johnson, etc (obviously rolling) My pick is due to the fact that I think both offenses over the course of the game will outplay/expose some level of the opponent's defense. PSU will have success with OSU's secondary, potentially also with the linebackers too. OSU will have success with either the point of attack on line of scrimmage as well as spreading out Penn State's secondary. I hope both defenses do play well and can put some stops together for a better game, but this is my pick, OVER. In the end, I think this game is really tough to pick the spread! This pick is only as good as Barrett and McSorley, I expect them to both play well (with Barrett playing much better than many people think he will). 41-34 game and if a little less still covers 56.5 OVER. GL everyone!!!!

Line moving with money on Michigan...........anyone have any input on this matchup? Michigan did destroy them last year 49-10, however, they do not have Speight, lost several players from last year's team, game was at the Big House........... I think Penn State's offense needs to get into another higher gear (better offensive line play) as they take on the Blue. Barkley is a great talent and has produced in a variety of ways, but he hasn't been running the ball that well as of late in my opinion. In the end, I think Penn State's bye week and preparation (especially on offense) will overwhelm Michigan. I also see Penn State's defense as an underrated unit and Michigan has been totally exposed on the offensive side of the ball. I know Michigan's defense (especially upfront seven) are stout, but I think the Nittany Lions offense does too much damage and also their defense will swallow the Wolverines. PSU -9.5 PSU 34 Michigan 20 Inputs anyone? |
