Following the above theory, would have gone 5-1 ATS this week with Indy, Sea, Pit, Stl, GB winning. Loser was JAX.

...coming off SU loss vs. team coming off a SU win -- for the past few years or so.
I would think public perception of the last game played would create significant pointspread edge if you want to play the team coming off a loss. Appreciate any input. |

I know that they will never reverse the call made by the ump the make this a perfect game. However, why not change the "hit" to an error and give the kid a no-hitter.
There is precedent here. Many scoring changes have been made after the game was completed so why not here. You might argue: Where was the error? Well, by rulebook definition (to my recollection), an error is given on plays that should reasonably be completed for an out. Clearly, this should have been an out. The only way he could be safe is on an error. Any thoughts? |

I have a great Woody costume for Halloween with pull string. I want to let people pull the string and I will respond with a clever quote...except I'm not that clever. My son is going to be Buzz Lightyear. Open to any quotes that are good for kids or X rated for adults.
So far I came up with one for the ladies: "Wanna know why they call me Woody?" Thanks and Happy Halloween |

I always like to come here cause you never know what you're gonna see. Can't get enough. Tell me some other forums you read that aren't about sports.

The best thing I have tried is Grant's Ant Stakes. It looks like those other small cannisters but they work awesome. I guarantee it. Just follow directions and lay a couple in the paths. In a few hours....GONE!
Good Luck...thank me later...

I think it's because of the large fluctuations in college bball totals...Matchbook is not really set up to deal with the fast and large changes...great site though...

Have you ever gotten or given a gift that was just perfect? Well, I am looking for the perfect gift for my father-in-law for his 60th birthday. He is a very kind and generous man so I would like it to be cool, fun, interesting, and/or thoughtful...something he would love to show off. He is a conservative Republican type but with a fun side and a sense of humor (I know, oxymoron). My limit is about $500 dollars (may be able to pool about $2k with other family but prefer not to).
Some other things about him:
==He is a dentist, married, two grown kids, two grandkids.
== Enjoys sports, but not a gambler. Loves USC football but I have given USC stuff in the past. Looking for a more unique idea.
==Loves to travel.
==Enjoys fine wine/dining.
==Loves electronics, gadgets, computers, etc. Anything that makes life easier, more enjoyable. For example, he loves his Garmin map/location finder for his car.
==Has a great home theater with all the gadgets (blu ray disc, digital remote, etc). Maybe you know of something he might not have.
Appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

By the way, the same kick from five yards closer is gonna be good. They tried to be tricky and it cost them the game. |

You are correct. Last year a furniture store in CA had the same deal if UCLA (huge underdogs) beat USC. Well the Bruins did win and they paid up. I heard an interview with the owner afterwards and he said it turned out fine for him cause he was getting tons of free advertising all over the place. Plus, he seemed to hint that he also had some kind of insurance in place. |

Please people...I am old school and like a lot of the ones you mentioned. Especially liked Dumb and Dumber. Also, Fast Times was great in its era when I was a teen. But clearly the winner in this category is:
