been a while, but i usually make an appearance for march madness if nothing else for the year.tested the waters and have gone 3-1 so far so i figured its time to embarrass myself :) sooooo....
Connecticut -1.5 going against the experts because after all, what do they know???But seriously, defending champs losing the first game?poppycock! Ohio st -17.5 best team next to kentucky in my opinion and i expect them to flex their muscle in the same fasion |

SOUTH CAROLINA -3 GEORGIA -2.5 |

FLORIDA -3
Its hard to choose who sucked it up the most this year....Ohio st and Florida both have a lot to look forward to next year, the buckeyes gaining Urban Meyer and Florida losing Charlie Weis For today tho,Florida's defense should be able to bottle up Ohio st pretty easily today |

idk if penn st will win,but 7.5 is alot for me.if these teams swapped conferences, penn st would be undefeated and houston 8-4 at best.and today i think the only thing that keeps houston from being blown out IS that they can pass. Many times when these scheme powered offensive teams play physical teams, the schemes get trumped and the team gets trounced....I.E. Georgia vs hawaii a few years ago

some say drugs, ive heard it was attitude and not showing for certain things. He's not even on the team as of now,but has the opportunity to be back if he meets a list of requirements. He'll be back, dont worry

only big 10 team with better offensive numbers this year than Alabama was Wisconsin.Top 30 total and top 15 rushing isnt dismal, especially in the SEC with the 5 of the top 10 defenses. The big 10 btw,has 4 of the other 5 top 10,Penn st being number 10.Houston has faced only 3 defenses in the top55,being shut down and destroyed by one and winning by 1 against another. And speaking of defense, houston is horrible stopping the run, allowing almost 180ypg,which will play into Penn st's hands.I think theyll grind it out and milk the clock for what its worth.Penn St will rush for 250+.

LSU @ Florida Under 41.5
i dont care who wins, just going by strengths and weakness, these teams match-up well.good defenses, good run games, less than stellar QB play equals low scoring game.Im thinking florida 17-10

Alabama @ S.Carolina
BAMA -7 for me Better defense,BETTER OFFENSE,29 straight regular season wins, won 31of past 33 games plenty of road experience.S.Carolina doesnt impress me,their defense isnt that great, their offense tho good in the red zone,is nothing the caliber of arkansas, tide will roll big today, maybe 17+

I try to stay within what i know most about and get the most info about so ill stick to posting just sec games this year.
First up Arkansas vs Texas A&M ive got Arkansas at -6.I'd take them at -13 if it was the case.First it's a neutral site. Not an Aggie home game.A&M is supposed to be pretty good offensively but from what ive seen they're just a middle of the pack Big 12 team.We know Arkansas can move the ball and they're defense has gotten vastly better from last yr.If A&M cant protect their QB this game its gonna be even uglier than last yr.Oh and the Razorbacks have had 2 wks to get over that near miss against the no.1 team in football....You can bet theyre itching to play today.

It is intrigue to see how BAMA offense response to a touch defense such as SC at HOME. I am on SC because I believe SC defense will give BAMA offense trouble. Steve S. will play conservative ball with Garcia, grinding it out and looking to steal the game. second.Steve Spurrier has never played concervative football. The goober had a shot to beat auburn, down by 8 and puts a freshman QB in because Garcia fumbled a couple times.I dont care if he fumbled 10 times, uve still got a better shot with him than a freshman

im a huge alabama fan so i rarely ever bet on them but this line is kinda rediculous to me.i thought ark and maybe auburn were the two teams that had the best shot against bama.the ark game played out the way i expected tho i didnt think theyed win at halftime.then florida came along and i nearly crapped my pants on the 1st drive for the gators.then when we won 31-6 i could only say wow, theyre actually pretty damn good.i also saw auburn who has a less than stellar secondary beat this amazing gamecocks passing attack.alabama's secondary, yes has had issues but on their worst day is still better than auburn's.And scar made cam newton look great running the ball,i think mcelroy will look fantastic throwing the ball.may be ugly at halftime
38-10 bama

Being from Alabama i have the luxury of hearing something about college football just about every other breath from 90% of people im around. Also we have two top 10 teams in the state and sportstalk radio here doesnt have to split time between Nfl and Ncaa football.Somehow tho UAB is neeeeeever ever mentioned.Theres a reason for that.
When capping this game, alot of people look at last nights game and how decent Troy looked(who UAB beat)and how UAB was 6 missed fgs away from beating Tennessee. Then you see how well C.Florida played last wk at K-State and hung tight with N.C.State.Both teams have impressive games to gauge each other against. first UAB UAB beat a lower tier decent at best troy team, who imo,is more talented than them. But what you have to see is this is somewhat of a rivalry game with both school being within the same state, having a number of players that were either teammates in highschool or played opposite of each other before college. That has alot to do with what resulted there, just look how a much inferior Auburn team nearly spoiled Alabama's season last year. Now on to Tennessee....this is by far the worst Vols team you will see for years to come. They lack depth and quality starters across the board and are lucky to have lost the games they have by such a narrow margin. Its a first year coach, who is maybe a bit overwhelmed by the SEC style of going about football. They played oregon, florida and had LSU on the horizon so maybe they overlooked UAB a bit. Then again they struggle at counting so theirs no telling. now C.Fla they lost barely(td in the final 10 seconds)on the road to a decent K-state team who has beat an obviously decent ucla team who thrashed texas.they also lost by 7 to a pretty decent NC STATE team who has taken care of all butVT this year(including GA Tech) Uab has piss-poor defense and C.Fla has shown they can hold their own on defense this season.both have an ok offense but i think UAB's defense may just let the Knights shine tonight CENTRAL FLORIDA 34 UAB 17 cfla -11.5 and -7 1st half over 49 and over 24 1st half

What really suprises me here is how everyone is saying Alabama's McElroy is such a terrible QB.Yes up against Tebow any one looks inferior but have you really looked at the numbers? They've played essentially the same schedule in many ways. And if McElroy is so horrible than why does he have more passing yards and essentially the same TD to INT ratio as Tebow?(Tebow is 17/4,McElroy is 16/4) Another thing to look at is turnover margin for this game.Florida is a very admirable +8,But Alabama is +15.Will be interesting to see who wins that one |
