38-25 (regular season), +$1050. Sides: 19-13 Totals: 16-7 2H: 1-5 1Q: 1-0 1H: 1-0 #1 Sides: 48-29-2 #1 Totals: 44-34-1 Picks Sides: (1) Cle, (2) Det, (3) Min, (4) Mil, (5) Sac, (6) Chi, (7) Bkn, (8) GS Totals: (1) Cle ov, (2) Sac ov, (3) Bkn un, (4) Min un, (5) Mil ov, (6) Chi ov, (7) GS un, (8) Det un Thoughts: Very, very close to taking a break at this point. Just too busy at work right now since I went back to full time and this is the busy season at the academy. Becoming harder and harder to post, especially when my top plays are failing the last 2 weeks and I do not want drag anybody down after starting hot the first 8+ weeks. If I do stop posting for a spell, I may just throw my picks on Twitter daily as I will always make my picks and rankings daily to get a pulse for how well (or not so well) I am seeing the board. Quickly, looks like Cleveland has IT in the starting
lineup, so I like them off a loss against a struggling Orlando team. Detroit in
bounce-back mode off an embarrassing 36-point loss last night to Philly. |

SA ov, (9) Mia ov, (10 Det ov Thoughts: Busy day at work. I like today’s board though. The 4 plays I asterisked as “top” plays were my top 2 sides and totals. I like others, too. Milwaukee an auto-play with the short-revenge angle as the Raptors just beat them at in OT at Toronto 4 days ago. Bucks have the automatic revenge play just 4 days later. Portland also has the same spot with Atlanta, but I rank the Blazers lower due to the 6.5-point chalk. Dallas is FLYING over the total their last 3 games and Chicago has also gone Over 4 straight. Memphis Over 4 straight as they are pushing the Pace slightly more than earlier in the season during those games. Lakers have a HUGE bounce-back spot off a 37-point loss at home to OKC and Kyle Kuzma called his team out for quitting in that game. Lonzo Ball is probable to return for the Lakers. Dallas has won 4 out of 5 and covered 5 straight. They lost GS last time out because Stephen Curry swished a 3 with 3 seconds left in the game. My totals have been dog garbage for 2 weeks with the
exception of this past Wednesday, so I do not know if I can bet my top 2 totals
yet. I will bet the top 2 sides. Los Angeles Lakers +1.5, laying $110 to win $100 Dallas Mavericks -4, laying $110 to win $100 Good Luck. |

38-23 (regular
season), +$1270. Sides: 19-11 Totals: 16-7 2H: 1-5 1Q: 1-0 1H: 1-0 #1 Sides: 47-28-2 #1 Totals: 43-33-1 Picks Sides: (1) GS, (2) OKC Totals: (1) GS
un, (2) OKC ov Thoughts: Finally broke out in a big way last night. Top 4 picks on sides and totals went 8-0. Does this mean I am back picking winners left and right for the next 4 or 5 weeks in a row? I would not go that far, but I liked a lot of picks last night and I ranked them well and had a lot of winners, so I feel good about that. I like tonight’s board a bit, too. Durant out so an automatic Under play for me as earlier this season I quoted numbers from last season when Durant was out and how ridiculous the number of Unders was with him out. The Warriors have a revenge spot here from Opening Night so despite this being a strong chart-play for Houston, I am taking the revenge spot instead. Which is what I did last night, picking Boston over Cleveland despite the Cavs having a strong chart-play. OKC clearly a public play here, and I feel that line is
extremely fishy. However, extremely public plays do win. No trends at all one
way or the other as OKC is 3-3 ATS in back-enders and the Clips are 2-2 in
check-mark games. I may stay out one more day before making an official play
but I am debating this Golden State under. |

37-23 (regular
season), +$1170. Sides: 19-11 Totals: 16-7 2H: 0-5 1Q: 1-0 1H: 1-0 #1 Sides: 46-28-2 #1 Totals: 42-33-1 Picks Sides: (1) Phi, (2) Bos, (3) Tor, (4) NO, (5) OKC, (6) Mia, (7) Ind, (8) Orl, (9) Pho, (10) Dal, (11) NY, (12) Min Totals: (1)

(8) Orl un, (9) NY ov, (10) Mia un, (11) Ind un, (12) Min un Thoughts: Extended cold streak here. I would strongly recommend not taking any of my plays until you see some winners in the Top 3 picks and especially #1 picks. I do like some picks tonight, but just cannot bet anything until I KNOW I am seeing things better. My totals gave been flat out awful for 2 weeks now. I simply cannot have a #1 pick go against a chart-play. The Cavs snapped their NC5 with a Cover last night at home vs. Portland and now play the Celtics. Boston is 3-1-1 in checkmark games (meaning they have rest and their opponent is on a back-ender) and the Cavs are 3-3 ATS in back-enders (although 3-0 ATS their last 3 in this spot). The Cavs are also 6-0 to the Under in back-ender this season. So I obviously like Boston and the Under. Draymond Green and Zaza Pachulia are questionable tonight
for Golden State. Missing Green means the Warriors are missing a perennial Defensive
Player of the Year candidate which means this game trends to the Over. Dallas
has also averaged 238.5 points per game in their last 2 games as their offense
is clicking. I do like this Over as my best play of the day, but I have been so
off on my totals the last 2 weeks that I cannot recommend any total as a play
right now. |

37-23 (regular
season), +$1170. Sides: 19-11 Totals: 16-7 2H: 0-5 1Q: 1-0 1H: 1-0 #1 Sides: 46-27-2 #1 Totals: 42-32-1 Picks Sides: (1) Por, (2) Mem, (3) Cha, (4) NY, (5) Atl Totals: (1)
Por un, (2) Atl ov, (3) Cha un, (4) NY un, (5) Mem ov Thoughts: Damian
Lillard returns for Portland, while Isaiah Thomas returns for Cleveland.
However, Thomas will be on a minutes restriction and will only play 8 to 12
minutes tonight. Kevin Love is
questionable for the Cavs with an illness and missed their shootaround. Portland
is 3-1-2 ATS in back-enders while the Cavs are an atrocious 1-5 ATS when they
have rest and their opponent is on a back-ender. Cleveland is trending toward
the Under and if Love is out, I really like the Under more. Also, with Thomas
playing 8 to 12 minutes tonight, this will potentially disrupt their rotations.
Portland has been an Under team all year despite occasional very high-scoring
outputs. I do not like anything else. I want to bet Memphis and
the Clips Overs, but despite hearing about how the Grizzlies coach wants to
push the Pace more. However, despite the Grizzles averaging 123/7 points per
game their last 3 games, their Pace numbers for those games are only up
slightly from their seasonal Pace number. But the Grizzlies offensive
efficiency in those 3 games are off the charts. Makes me wonder whether they
can possibly continue to keep shooting lights out. Doubt it, but you never
know. |

37-23 (regular
season), +$1170. Sides: 19-11 Totals: 16-7 2H: 0-5 1Q: 1-0 1H: 1-0 #1 Sides: 45-27-2 #1 Totals: 42-31-1 Picks Sides: (1) Mil, (2) LAL, (3) Bkn, (4) Chi Totals: (1) Mil
un, (2) LAL ov, (3) Bkn ov, (4) Chi un Thoughts: Once again, we have the “Eliminated from the playoffs revenge angle” in play here, an angle that states that a team (Bucks) who were eliminated from the playoffs the season before by their opponent (Raptors) and this is the first time they are playing this season, which gives Milwaukee a strong revenge angle. This angle was 2-1 on Christmas and should have been 3-0 had they called an obvious foul on Durant when he hacked Lebron twice on a drive to the hoop very late in the game. Milwaukee a strong chart-play to the under and Toronto has 4 straight Unders at home. The Lakers are only 2-5 ATS in back-enders and are coming off a double-OT game at Houston last night where a few of their starters played heavy minutes, but Minnesota has a penchant for giving away leads at home and allowing back-door covers this season. The Lakers may have found something after moving Julius Randle to the starting center spot the last 2 games. Randle has responded with 18 points and 7 boards against the Clippers and 29 points, 15 boards and 6 assists before fouling out against Houston Sunday night. Los Angeles could back-door this number. Lakers over 4 straight games now, too. The Bulls have been incredible since Nikola Mirotic returned to the team to make his 2017-18 debut after getting in a fight with teammate Bobby Portis in the preseason. Chicago has gone 10-3 straight-up and 12-1 ATS since his return. The Bulls were 3-20 without Mirotec before his return. If Damian Lillard does not pay again tonight, then I like the Bulls as they are 6-0 SU and ATS at home since Mirotec returned. Lillard is a game-time decision for Portland with a hamstring issue. I also believe if Lillard plays, this game goes Over and if he does not, it stays Under. I actually like this board, but with the way it has gone
the last week, I may stay on the sidelines in terms of making bets until I see some
winners with my #1 picks. |

un, (2) Bkn un, (3) Cha ov, (4) Dal un, (5) Min un, (6) Phi ov, (7) Chi un, (8)
Hou un Thoughts: Houston
would be a play but Harden is questionable. If he plays, I will bet it. Ball
still out for the Lakers. Houston has a revenge spot here as Los Angeles just
beat the rockets at Houston 11 days ago, which started the Rockets current
5-game losing streak. If Harden plays, I would expect a 20+ point win here.
Memphis is at Sacramento as these 2 teams are ranked 30 and 29, respectively in
Pace this season. The only reason I am not betting this game is because I
watched almost the entire Memphis game last night at Golden State and the
Warriors color announcer said that the interim Memphis coach wants the
Grizzlies to play faster. The pace of that game last night despite the 269
points was only 96.2, but both teams shot lights out from the field and
especially behind the arc last night. I do not like much else other than
Charlotte. I think I have too many Unders selected. We shall see. |

late scratch affected a #1 pick on the side with Paul George being scratched
for OKC last night. That scratch did not affect the total pick as George is a very
good defender. Anyway. On to today, Atlanta is 6-1-1 ATS on back-enders and 5-3
to the Under in that spot. Not too crazy about this board. |

Week 11: Noticed my #1 records were not updated. They are fixed now. 37-22 (regular season), +$1280. Sides: 19-11 Totals: 16-7 2H: 0-4 1Q: 1-0 1H: 1-0 #1 Sides: 43-23-2 #1 Totals: 41-26-1 Picks Sides: (1) Mil, (2) Mem, (3) Bkn, (4) Det, (5) Den, (6) Sac, (7) Orl, (8) Dal Totals: (1) Det

Sac ov Thoughts: Top plays cooling off slightly and I am 0-2-1 with my last three #1 Sides, so maybe I will not make any official plays until I see a “W” with my #1’s. However, I do like my top side and top 3 totals. All 4 picks are automatic/default picks because they are all chart-plays. The Bulls had their C9 snapped last time out at Boston as the Celtics had a revenge spot from against Chicago due to the Bulls blowing them out at Chicago 108-85 just 12 days prior to the Celtics returning the favor 117-92 at Boston their last game. So we have a strong chart-play to fade Chicago here and add to that a revenge spot for Milwaukee as they just lost to Chicago themselves 11 days ago 115-109 at home. So the Bucks get another crack at them at home in a revenge spot with a chart-play against the Bulls. Fairly strong spot for the Bucks. But man, I hate laying 6.5 with this Milwaukee team. Not an official play, but it probably should be. Same with my top 3 totals as they are all chart-plays to the Over. Indiana at Detroit is the best play of those 3, in my estimation. If I have an official play, I will post it. Maybe I can
muster up a second-half play tonight for the first time in forever. If the
Bucks are losing a the half, I will undoubtedly take them in the 2H as long as Giannis
Antetokounmpo is playing and that is another point I need to make here. Make sure Antetokounmpo is playing tonight
before betting the game. He is listed as probable, which usually means he will
play. I may take Milwaukee 1Q or 1H. Need to check the Bucks ATS records for
both since I have that updated now. |

Bad break on Saturday as Brandon Ingram was scratched a couple hours after I bet and posted my Lakers play. Had I seen that, I would have added my top total as another play since I would not have liked that Lakers play after seeing that news. This is why I do not like making too many plays way in advance as this is what can happen. Moving on. 36-21 (regular season), +$1290. Sides: 18-10 Totals: 16-7 2H: 0-4 1Q: 1-0 1H: 1-0 #1 Sides: 43-21-1 #1 Totals: 39-26 Picks Sides: (1) Cle, (2) OKC, (3) Was, (4) Min, (5) Phi Totals: (1) OKC ov, (2) Cle un, (3) Min un, (4) Was ov, (5) Phi un Cleveland
Cavaliers +4.5, laying $110 to win $100 – I may have doubled this bet had
Golden State not lost their last time out against Denver and have their 11-game
win streak snapped. However, Houston recently had a 14-game winning streak
snapped by the Lakers at home and they immediately lost their next game at home
to the Clippers. Remember, Golden State is short-handed. No Curry and they have
other players questionable. Plus, we have the “Eliminated from the playoffs
revenge angle” in play here, an angle that states that a team
(Cavaliers) were eliminated from the playoffs the season before by their opponent
(Warriors) and this is the first time they are playing this season, which gives
Cleveland a strong revenge angle. The Cavs have won 19 of their last 21 and 6
straight vs. the Western Conference. King James can downplay the importance of
this game all he wants, but he will show up in front of a national audience and
take over this game if he has a chance to. Oklahoma City Thunder +2, laying $110 to win $100 -- I feel that this OKC is almost as strong as my Cleveland play because I feel that the Thunder are finally starting to figure things out. OKC has won 4 straight and 6 of 7 and they seem to have found a spot for Melo (outside the 3-point line) as he is shooting a lot more 3’s the past few games and this seems to be working for the Thunder. The Rockets had won 14 straight before losing to the Lakers and Clippers during the last 2 games of their home stand. Chris Paul was injured and is doubtful to play and Clint Capela is questionable again for the Rockets. This game has the same angle as the Cle/GS game, too, as Oklahoma City was eliminated from the postseason last season by Houston in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs last season and are playing the Rockets for the first time this season. Good Luck. Thoughts: The
Wizards game has the same angle, too, as Washington was eliminated by Boston in
the Eastern Conference semifinals last year and are playing the Celtics for the
first time this season, thus making this an automatic default play, just like
the Thunder and the Cavaliers. I do not have any strong opinions on the totals,
but I obviously fee that my #1 total is my best total, although I feel my top 3
sides are all stronger than my #1 total. I am debating a play on the Wizards,
too, as that line looks trappish. |

-2.5, laying $110 to win $100 –Portland struggled mightily without Lillard
last night at home as Denver hammered them by 17. The Lakers have lost 3
straight home games, but 2 were OT losses to Golden State and the other was a
loss to Houston during their 14-game winning streak. The Lake-Show lost a tough
one to Golden State last night and they played Cleveland and the Knicks tough
on the road before losing and the Knicks game went to OT. Lakers have covered 4
straight and 6 of 7 and are a stronger team at Staples. Thoughts: Still
have a chart-play on Dallas for the Over. Atlanta 5-1-1 ATS on back-enders this
season. Miami missing a boatload of players tonight. Bulls have covered 9
straight although the Celtics have a revenge spot after a 23-point loss at
Chicago 12 days ago. Jaylen Brown returns tonight for Boston. Wizards coming
off an embarrassing 35-point loss last night to Brooklyn and Orlando still
short-handed and awful so this is a huge bounce-back spot for Washington if
they can figure things out tonight. Clippers in a big let-down spot after a
huge upset win over Houston last night. |
