I always prefer home teams with at least 2 or more days of rest advantage.

The first 12 weeks of the CFL regular season, this occurrence only happens 12 times! 

I like it even better when the road team is playing their second or more, road game in a row.

Example : MTL opens week 1 @ home against TOR.  Zero Rest Advantage.  Week 2 MTL travels to OTT with 1 day rest disadvantage.  Week 3 MTL travels to EDM with a 6 day rest disadvantage!  Week 4 MTL travels to HAM with a 5 day rest disadvantage.  Finally in week 5 they go home & host BC with a 1 day rest advantage.  Tough start for MTL to begin the 2025 regular season.  BC will be on their 2nd road game and will also be on the road in week 6. 

HomeDresser, WPG is worth a shot at those odds.  I worry about that team giving it their all the last 4 years & what awaits them this season.

I took a shot on CGY with Vernon Adams Jr. at the helm.  He should be a man on a mission this season!!

I have completed my Rest Advantage for the entire 2025 season.

Opening week 1

June 5, 6, 7.  All teams start equal.  Zero rest advantage.

Week 2

June 12, 13, 14.

BC@WPG : BC will be playing with 4 days of rest.  WPG will be playing with 7 days of rest.  3 days rest advantage for WPG.

MTL@OTT : MTL will be playing with 6 days of rest.  OTT will be playing with 7 days of rest.  1 day of rest advantage for OTT.

CGY@TOR : CGY will be playing with 6 days of rest.  TOR will be playing with 7 days of rest.  1 day rest advantage for TOR.

SSK@HAM : SSK will be playing with 8 days of rest.  HAM will be playing with 6 days of rest.  2 days rest advantage for SSK.

It's only week 2 so I don't believe Rest Advantage becomes a big factor this early in the season.

Week 3 EDM will have 11 days of rest over visiting MTL who will be playing with 5 days of rest.  That's 6 days of rest advantage for EDM.

EDM is coming off a week 2 BYE. 

3 months & 4 days till Preseason week 1 starts.

Guess who is playing.  That's right, CGY@BC.  Nathan Rourke vs Vernon Adams jr except neither QB will play any minutes!  This Preseason game will be played on Vancouver Island in the city of Langford.  These 2 teams will play twice in the regular season week 16 & 18

So much more scheduling things to get into..............

I am pouring over the just released CFL schedule & drinking a beer, lol.

Pre-Season week 1, Mon May 19.

Looks like the schedule makers are already trying to create tension between OTT & MTL.

These 2 teams play Preseason week 2, Preseason week 3 & then play Regular season week 2.

I am already calculating Rest Advantage for each team throughout the entire 2025 season!

That's right.  Pre-pandemic and for years before that, books would post an "actual" 2nd Half line.

This afternoon Tul/Fla score was 0-6 at the Half.

2nd Half line posted was +/- 4.5

That line matched the "live" line +/- 10.5 at the Half.

Back in the day books actually had someone posting an independant 2nd Half line.

It was awesome!  You had to keep refreshing your browser, waiting for that line!

When the line did not match the score at the Half it was time to pounce!!

Now it just mimics the "live" line at the Half.

Game after game.  Hmm.  

Now there is no more difference between the full game at the Half and the 2nd Half line posted.

Too Bad.

I guess I am just getting old, lol.

Anything can happen in the 2nd Half.

I took JM +3.5 in game @ the half.

2nd Half line @ my book was JM -3 to start the 2nd Half.

So I can lay -3 2nd Half or take +3.5 in game!

I took JM +3.5 for the full game, rather than bet the 2nd Half.
