4 str8 and I have no problem with Fla, LSU, and Bama. They were the best teams those years. All major conferences as a whole, are more similiar though. Last year, Fla, OU, and TX were the best teams last year.. Fla was the best team and (other than Ole Miss) STEAM ROLLED the SEC teams (look up those scores, wow). This year Bama, Fla, and TX were tops... The rest of the SEC wasn't anything special, and showed worse than others. No matter what, you don't want to go play at: Fla, Bama, Geo, LSU, Tenn..... Neb, OU, TX, TA&M, CU, ... Ohio St, Mich, PenSt.. USC, ORE, Wash, UCLA .. FlaSt, MiaFl, VT, ... Even when these teams you don't feel a cake-walk coming. And sure, the OkieState, TTech (w/out Leach won't be the same), AUB, Arky, Mizz, Iowa, Wisky, ASU, Cal, NCst, SCar, Ole Miss, KanSt, Purdue, MichSt, .... these teams will all cycle good teams and compete, and they'll all have 'their' years... But many of these teams good years, are bad years for the teams listed first. So in lieu, Congrats to Bama... and most conferences overall are more similiar then most think |

Thoughts on TX: Everyone seems to forget about TX's D. It's front 7 just plains stops a normal running attack. They continue to send D-backs to the NFL. They are most likely grateful they are not playing a duel threat QB, and I think this is huge. TX Off: great numbers, but hasn't clicked totally this year. IMO, they have held off of letting Colt run much (fear of injury).. but when they needed Colt to run vs OU and A&M they simply dialed it up. I would THINK, there is no holding back tonight and Colt will be more of a running threat tonight. But they have not run him like in years past or with VY this year. The Nebraska game is more of a positive I think, it's easier to prepare a team who has talent and knows what they need to do differently... more focus in the last month. Bama: Saban is king. I think (?) that this team was prepared, planned, and organized months and months back on How to beat FLA. Saban did it. He dominated Fla worse than he did Aub, Kent, SCar, LSU, or Tenn. The SEC is great, but those teams were NOT great this year (bowl games can be over-rated but only Aub won vs lowly N.W. in Ot.) and none of them covered the spread (maybe Kent, forgot). My experience is when Saban (LSU) dominated OU the first half... But then he called off the horses and gave OU a chance to win it. IMO, Saban likes to get a lead... and then protect it by running the ball, safe passes, and field position. Lurking on another teams mistake while they are in panic mode. Who is the better team? I really don't know.. But I think both defenses will dominate. Colt running the ball (if) may open up things for TX. But Colt is also more incline to throw a pic. But with both teams D's... and both teams good kickers ( I know TX has both a great punter and FG kicker)... I have a hard time not just taking points... and a strong lean to the Under... Just FYI |

WVA game... Lets be knowledgeable...
OU had out 3/4 starting Defensive Front, Both DE out Dotson and English and starting DT Granger out
Both 2 best DB out in Reggie Smith and Lendy Holmes. and Saftey who barely played and didn't start in Nic Harris.
That's half of your starting Defense out trying to stop a very very good rushing attatck. If FLA lost 3/4 of Defensive Front and 3 DB's for this game, they would get routed by a lot of teams too.
OU was playing w/out their 2 best offensive weapons in Demarco Murry and Malcom Kelly... W/ Bradford being just a Frosh
WVA was a very good team also...
MICH was however NOT a very good team and Man-handled FLA for the tune of 500+ yards and 42pts..
It would have been MUCH WORSE if Mich was not -4 on the turnover battle.. If I remember, Didn't MICH turn it Over twice in the Redzone going into score... If Mich wasn't such a bad team and could keep from turning the ball over, they would have scored 50+ points on FLA...... And MICH sucked last year.
Just throw out last years Bowl games... Both teams got embarrased... OU is actually healthy and getting players back this year.. LB Austin Box and DE Austin English.. and Murry, Bradford, and Manual Johnson should all be healthy by bowl game.
PS.. TCU game.. OU was up 21-3 in 1Q, and had 333 yds of O by half and 28-3... They could have scored 60+, but worked on running game into TCU's 9 man front the 2h (only threw 12 passes 2nd H)... The game was over by 1Q.
DALTON did play for TCU, as he attempted 39 passes
FLA / OU 2 great teams... Just go with your GUT...

EDUCATION BOYS re: OU / TCU game
OU was up 28-3 at half (21-3 after 1Q) TCU loaded the box and sent everyone the 1st half and OU scorched them.
OU put in the their new NO-Huddle offense this year... The 2nd half of that game, OU ran the ball almost completely into a 9 man front. OU led 35-3 going into the 4th Q.
Yes, OU had been working on their passing game and no-huddle offensive scheme... and it did seem evident they were struggling to run the ball.. OU took the opportunity to work on their run game vs a 9 man front the entire 2nd half... The game was over by the 2nd quarter... OU only attempted 12 passes the 2nd Half running into a 9 man front.
OU had 333 yds of Offense by Half
OU is a much better rushing team now than they were then. But that game could have easily been 60+ points if OU wanted to continue to scorch the Frogs by throwing over them.

4 BCS games:
OU got killed by USC.. One of the greatest Offenses in College football aided by OU turning the ball over 4 or 5 times in the 1st half... Total Cluster fuck by OU... Those USC teams made alot of teams look rather silly... USC was on FIRE...
OU/LSU came down to the wire... great game. OU turned the ball over on downs at LSU 10 late... Lost by 7. But 2 great teams
OU/Boise.. OU was rebuilding and it was a magical game. Bosie did not get a 1st down in the 2nd H until that lateral for TD to tie it. This was a subpar OU team playing w/ a converted WR to QB and a down year for the B12. That OU team would have lost 4 games in the B12 easy this year.
The only game I will give OU an excuse on is the WVA game.. In the last 2 weeks of the season, OU lost these starters on D: both DE's, 1 LB, 1 Safety, DT, 2 Corners.... All starters.
Most people look at the Uniform and assume a progam will just replace them and the uniform itself will win the game. But not when your facing an 'weird' 'fast' offense like WVA... OU was also not playing w/ 2 top offensive weapons WR Malcom Kelly or RB Murry in that game...
This year, OU will be getting players healthy instead of losing them...
Murry will be healthy and returning
Bradford will be healthy
Manual Johnson will be healthy
DT Alan Davis will be returning
DE Austin English will be returning
LB Austin Box will be returning
And other than the loss of LB Ryan Reynold's vs TX, OU has not lost any significant players going into bowl game... They will actually be gettting more starters back and other's healthier.
This is not the same OU team that lost to WVA
This is not the same Fla team that gave up 524 yards and 42 pts to a below Avg Mich team DESPITE Mich turning the ball over 4 times and FLa not turning the ball over at all.
Both of these teams are primed and ready to go beat the hell out of each other... Both are clicking

Agree that BUFF may be totally overmatched here... Great job by Turner Gill and Co., but this is not a good match up for them at all.
OU is just on fire... I couldn't fathom betting against them... Only KU and TX has stayed inside this line all year vs OU... Mizz would have to do it KU style: Have an OU DB slip/fall down for an 80 yrd TD before half, and a trash TD w/ seconds left in the game....
USC is good... USC's Defense might get close to covering this spread with take aways all by themselves. Hard to see UCLA getting on the score board... and very easy seeing UCLA's Offense imploding.
I can see Pitt, but don't trust the 'stauch
Navy should???? but agree Army's gotten better... The clock will continually run with these teams, so a shortened game leaves for less scoring and harder to cover.
SEC title game Over... good luck.. I think that line perfect... as in flip a coin.

Who cares what Conference is tougher !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The BigXII in basketball has more final 4 teams since it's inception than anyother conference, it's deep... but it usually doesn't have the BEST team...
PAC 10 may be down, this year, but it's top team is CLEARLY better than anything the BIG 10 has to offer up...
USC could compete in any Conference and be a favorite... Not the same could be said about PSU or tOSU...
USC ROOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSS

Fla -2...
Game is reality is a pick'm...
Small home field given to Fla playing in home state and should have quite a bit more fans. 1/2 Stadium for Fla, 1/4 for OU, and 1/4 of rich people who don't care.
Recent SEC success in Title Games and OU's BCS flops will push the betting public in Fla's favor too.
Should be a pick'm and a hell of a match up.

How in the world is Bradford more deserving of the Heisman then McCoy???
in College Football That rough 4 game gauntlet.... Lets See:
OU... great job by TX, Colt and Shiply
Mizz... Does it look tough now??? TX beat them at home, and OU will crush them too in KC
OSU... TX beat them by 4 at home.. and OU just beat them by 20+ on the road
Tech... the only TRUE road game, and TX lost... OU beat them by 40+
The 4 game gauntlet looked imposing at the time... but the after math tell us otherwise.... At one point Georgia was number 1 and LSU was number 3 in the country....
But they weren't/ and aren't... So that 4 game gauntlet turns out not to be so tough... and that 4 game gauntlet was not completed successfully as TX lost it's only true road game....
Colt's great
TX's Defense is great and still got lit up by Bradford
Bradford and Colt can share the Heisman for all it's worth too me...

Okie here,
Would have to agree w/ everything by Wootowncapper...
The home crowd at OU won't be a factor, the place will probably be half empty... It's still football season here. But I think the line is correct for a neutral court, but agree, this is in Norman where the Sooners are used to the gym/ surroundings which should be a boost of 5% in the shooting percentages... and the last time I looked, this is still college basketball where the home school usually gets more calls to go their way...
I think this is a solid play... And there is no homer in me, I have been more inclined to bet against OU b-ball... My favorite team is the one I bet on... OU / Tech this weekend looks like a good over to me.

[ OU hasn't seen a defense as good as Texas this year, it will be a shootout. BOL to all
I think that's a BIG Question and agree.. I can only break it down... Muschamp has a proven track record... But TX has not faced 1 top 60 offensive line this year.. Arky, FlaAtl, Utep, and Rice have pathetic O-lines... And CU had 6 O-lineman out who have playing time (2 were starters)... So TX's D has truely not been tested what so ever...
Alternatively, OU's secondary has not fully been tested to see the likes of what Colt brings to the table in regards to passing...
So it should be very very interesting....

Love your first 3 and NC
MichSt looks good, but can they do it on the road? I don't want to lose a bet thinking they should, but finding out they can't.
Baylor covering as a fav... ISU is much improved and I would lay off this
Vandy is a GREAT story, but living on borrowed time. Prior to last week, they had the worst rated D and worst rated O in SEC... and they are ROAD FAVS?
Georgia should, but that O-line is questionable.. Does Tenn have any pride??? Like pic, but like other games better.. This one has been growing on me... Starting to think Tenn might call in sick.
SCar and Kent... Both teams D's are much better than their O's... SCar has a better O, but are turnover prone on the road... Kent is at home... Kent has to win sometime.... Have no clue, therefore I think it's a no- bet
Good luck, and I like your pics overall

OU has an advantage at every position... SLIGHTLY... that's what makes OU a better team.. and I agree, a good bet. Everygame in the Stoops/Brown era have been won by 7 or more pts... And this series goes in streaks, if you bet on the team that won the year prior, you will usually be in good shape.
I watched Colt for a long time.. He is great,,, when healthy. He is so little, he has a hard time making thru the season with all the banging...
BUT right now he is Healthy... and he can win this game for Texas.
The OU secondary is good.. BUT they, like TX, has not faced the competition that will be on the other side of the field...
Should be a very good game... If both teams play on 8 out of 10 scale, OU wins by double digits... TX needs to play on a 9 scale and have OU play on a 6 or 7....
Also, OU always saves something for this game... OU has struggled running, BUT has been running simple plays between the tackles.. It will be interesting to see if the have been saving some schemes for TX
And TX hasn't used the TE well all year... TX has hurt OU with the TE over the last few years...
Should be a great game... and the Cotton Bowl expanstion is incredible. And while the talent level is slightly in OU's favor, anything can happen when OU/TX get together... But I have to lay my money on OU. Stoops has proven to not only to win, but to cover in this series.

Don't play.. or throw some small change just to get a little action.
The ACC makes no sense... I follow football closely, but WTF
Mary loses to MTS (they were pathetic vs FlaAtl, look like Highschool football).. then beat CAL and another ACC team, then LOSES to Virginia... Oh no, but shut out and gave up 31 pts to a team Duke kept out of the endzone????
Miami Fla is BACK.. the SWAGGER... Oooops, no they get beat by a NC backup QB??? at home.. and then lose again at home??
Clemson.. not surprised. Didn't return an O-line... But I'm used to this team starting out on FIRE... then totally fuck up in mid-season.. then T. Bowden saves his job at the end of the year... just enough for them to say, "wait till next year" ... Hey Clemson, your not following the script, your sucking before midseason!! OH, Coach has got his money.
FlaSt... Simply WTF.. How can you send so many players to the NFL and be worse than Kansas
Virginia.. pathetic.. but Duke and Virginia both have a chance to have upsets in the league because you never know what teams called it in on any given Saturday.
BC.. you have an excuse... this year
VT.. you too can have a rebuilding year
NCst.. I think you have a good coach, but your not good or consistent now... score pts vs BC's D, but get killed by S.Fla
GT.. you get a bye with new coach... nothing special, good vs spread.. but not a special team..
Duke... you get a bye every year.. I know your better.. but don't have confidence to trust you to cover any spread... If I lay a bet on Duke, I am actually betting AGAINST the team they are playing not to cover (see Virginia game)
NC.. okay.. I believe in the consitency of Butch Davis... I think he will totally outcoach ND and will outhit ND.. Help me Obi Won your my only hope... I trust Butch.. This team looks tough...... To DATE???
Wake... thought you were my money team... How in the Hell does your offense struggle against a pathetic Navy D who was pathetic prior to them graduating 9 starters from last year...
As a whole... There is absolutely no consistence with any of these programs right now...
I agree with those Money Line Betters... This is your conference...
Tomorrow's game is just a time to sit back and have some fun and maybe play a little action just to pump the blood... but save your money for Saturday... For Fun, I'll say take the better Coach on the Wake side... He doesn't have to do much to outcoach T. Bowden.

VT is the 108th ranked Offense in the country... Their Offense is anemic... and they got 370+ yds at Neb... VT was averaging only 293yds/game, and that's against the ECU (who got lit up by HOU), FURMAN, NC, and GT.... FURMAN held VT offense to less yards and points...
I think Pelini will get them going.. I really like him and think he'll do the right things.. He just doesn't have the horses yet...
Whether or not Mizzou is a top 5 team, they are pretty darn good...
And saying Pinkle is a bad coach is LUDICROUS... He has done an outstanding job... Mizzou can compete with anyone (didn't say would win against everyone, but compete.. and they can beat anyone)... and Mizzou's 2 deep is not near like OU, TX, USC, LSU, AUB, FLA, etc... as for players on campus, Mizzou will NOT have as many Sunday players as these schools... so therefore Pinkle is doing a great job....
I saw players for VT running wide open down field... maybe NU was more concerned with TRod.. but Chase will hit these guys all night long... Mizzou scores and scores and scores....

MTS has passed the ball pretty well on Kent and Mary AND they are at HOME.... They did struggle until the 2nd Half to get "O" going at ASU, but I do think their heads were dizzy from that Kentucky loss and they probably went in over confident.
FAU has not done much on offense except vs UAB... but the QB stats are skewed because of that downpour in E.Lancing... but they have played Texas, Minn, and MichSt.
YET, this should be a good offense.... but giving up tons of points and yards to UAB is an embarrasment...
Both teams pass a bunch, and that leaves room for more clock stoppages.. ie, more time for more points.
In My OPINION.... Both Offenses are going to be MORE than happy and successfull throwing the ball all over the place against NON-BCS Defenses...
Like the OVER....
also taking MTS over 26.5 and FlaAt over 24 (I think they both will get over, but definately the winner will score over this... thinking worse case a push, and best case to win both)

I am pretty sure you can watch ESPN 360 AND College Game Plan on the internet..... Right?
But does anyone know if you can watch the Fox Sports college football games on the internet?????
And while we are at it, can you watch the CBS College football games on the internet????
Thanks, we tailgate alot and our dish is in a confined spot and doesn't recieve great reception.... I have taken laptop out to tailgates to bet and watch scores... but I know I can get an output from laptop to TV moniter as well as get a good wireless connection next to the college for free... Worried about whether a generator would be too much juice and fry computer though.... but just thinking of an idea to get a better picture... That satalite feed keeps going out, and yes, we have even had a tech come out one time....
