Look, I needed Mahomes to score there for my bet and for a fantasy football victory. Both of which I lost because he chose to slide. The issue I have with it is that the Chiefs were guaranteed to win regardless of he scored there or slid there, so I say, why not score? I get it, you slide and you can literally end the game with a kneel down. However, you do risk fumbling the ball having to take a snap. Sure it's a long shot, but it CAN happen. If he scores. It's over. 10 points lead with 30 seconds and no time outs for the Jets. Sure you'll have to kick it off and play defense, which puts players at risk and I totally get that angle, but up until q few years ago, players would never slide or purposely not score. Not saying Mahomes was wrong either way. He made a play that guaranteed victory regardless of what he did there. He is to be commended for that. We win and lose our bets on much crazier stuff than this. It's just extra frustrating when we do lose our bets when we shouldn't have. I wonder how many QBs in the league would have slid there instead of scoring. I'd say not many. Mahomes is a winner though and that's what he did. Time to move on. |

@UncleBiz100 Who is crying? I'm still up $3,000 on the week. I thought it was bush league. Would have felt the same way if I had Iowa. |

@Cooler999 Yeah, but that rarely happens. 9 times out of 10 teams are kneeing there. You don't rub it into the other teams face. Classless. Regardless of which side I bet on I feel the same way. |

Totally. Just really bad sportsmanship. The ONLY reason I see them not kneeling there is because they got word that a big alumni booster had -28 on the game. I'd be furious if I was the coach on the other side. |

Gambling or not, you are up 24 points with seconds left and you don't kneel the ball and run it in the end zone instead? Really horrible sportsmanship. Someone on Iowa must have had -28 on their team. |

If you watch the replay of that buzzer beater by Matt Ryan, there is 1.3 seconds left. Once the ball touches Ryan's hands, the clock doesn't move. By the time he got that shot off 1.3 seconds would have expired for sure. It is what it is, but I felt like he got that off in longer than 1.3 seconds and he most certainly did. How the hell did Daniels not sink just one damn free throw. Would have iced the game. One of the worst beats I've had in a long time! |

I mean, I've been gambling for a long time and have seen the worst rig jobs ever, but this was right up there with the worst. Come on 22-3 FT's???? How does that happen? It's impossible. Refs were in on the fix. Mission accomplished. |

The only redeeming factor here if you are on Arkansas is that they played probably the worst half of football a team could possibly play, yet they are only down 3 points. Jefferson needs to get out of slow motion and the coach needs to get back to what won them games during the season. That was a disgusting half of football. |

I have to say that was a BS move by Michigan State to not kneel it down with a first down and 1 minute left. Game was over. No need to score there or even risk injury to your super star RB. Stupid!

I agree completely. I just wrote about this in another post. I'm 52 years old. This laying down at the 1 crap started in college football fairly recently and has now transferred over into NFL games and it just needs to stop!! The ONLY time you should lay down at the 1 yard line is if you need a FG to win and can drain the clock down to 3 seconds (enough time to kick the FG). Even then, a FG is never a gimme. The only other time you lay down is if you have a lead by less than 1 score (8 points of less) and can run the clock all the way to zero. Other than that, just STOP! Like in the Cleveland game a few weeks ago with Chubb running out of bounds at the 1 instead of scoring thus leaving time on the clock for another possession for Houston. I'm glad Miami did this tonight! Sure I lost on the -2.5 spread, but Miami just showed teams that you don't lay down unless you can end game with the ball still in your possession. Good job Miami!

I don't know if I would go as far to say this game was fixed, but it was definitely poorly officiated and coached by Gruden. The pass interference call was about as bad as it gets. You just can't call it there and give the other team 50 yards and pretty much the game unless it was blatant interference that kept the receiver from catching the ball. Not only was this this not blatant, but there was nothing shown on any replay that showed any sort of interference. If you are going to call that, then you most certainly should have called Agholor for pushing off on his TD catch. On to Gruden and this stupid new logic that you lay down at the 1 yard line and don't score and still leave time on the clock. I mean, this was a 2 point game if the Raiders kick a FG and with 19 seconds left and no time out, Miami would only need a FG to win the game. This is with one of the best kickers in the league. Sure it's a long shot, but MUCH more doable than them having to score a TD to win the game, which is what Miami would have needed had LV scored a TD instead. This wasn't the situation where you lay down at the 1 yard line. Sure, if you can wind the clock all the way down to 2 seconds and then kick the FG, it's the right play. But that should be the ONLY time you do this. I have seen this too much now to the point where the opposing team has almost come back and won the game or won it like tonight. I'm sorry, but if I have a chance to score to put the game away, I'm doing it. I'm trusting my defense over the clock. Pass interference and blown coverages can change a game in 2 minutes or 19 seconds as we saw tonight. Just stop laying down! The way the old NFL was, they never pulled this crap! Back to your question about a fix, this game may be a bit questionable, but I've had MUCH, MUCH worse beats than this one. |

I am officially done betting for awhile good luck to all my covers brothers
in NFL Betting @jroc1247 Listen man, we have all been there. I had one of those weeks last week where I was so angry by some horrible beats up through Saturday that I went extra large on Sunday and we all know what kind of a blood bath that was with all of the dogs covering. The best gamblers know how to bankroll their money. They are patient. They pick their spots and don't play every bet on the board. They build their money rather than try for a quick jackpot. There is a reason why Vegas and bookies are in this business. It's because it is lucrative for them. It is lucrative because of degenerates like us that love the adrenalin rush right up until we have to go to the bank on Tuesday to pay our loses. Do yourself a favor. Go spend some quality time with your wife and your kids. Sports will always be there. Take a few weeks off and then if you want to make a play here and there, do it within your means. Don't be stupid and play with money you can't afford to lose. $2,000 is a big bet for most. Know your limits. It's okay to play small. Maybe not as rewarding, but the less pain should you lose. Good luck to you. |

It was atrocious! They played conservative and the defense, which is supposed to be their specialty, was vomit inducing. That run they gave up for a TD at the end of the game was such a dagger as it also killed by live bet of -3 and my -3 2nd Half. Not to mention my 1H ML, 2H ML and FG ML. Disgusting. Kicking that FG, after using their last time out for nothing was on script for OSU's clueless coaches.
