Perfect pitch down the middle to Davis. Announcers were laughing so hard.
Every Jays hitter gets strikes outside the zone, so of course they feel the need to swing, and every Jays pitcher has a strike zone the size of a shoebox. Poor Jays.

Anyone use spreadsheets to come up with their own MLB moneylines?
in Systems & Strategies
That is exactly what I do.
I used trial and error to back test a bunch of variables like defense, bullpen, rest, etc... and i took the best variables. This season I am 58% and I am refining my model everyday. |

Nothing wrong with throwing a hundo down on a parlay for shits and giggles. You see, i have a time machine, so i can get lottery numbers if I want. I like to play around with sports for recreation! It's time I found a hobby! ....Don't you think Einstein?!!

Even if you calculate the winner using your own system at 70%, would you lay that price if it was even with the book?
Or do you just have a simple max juice rate you draw the line at? |

ATL play is great. Med's numbers are not that great, but that's due to road. He is great at home with a ERA of 2.83, and at night he pitchers 2.57. Now take a look at Arroyo's numbers on the road and at night, 5.70 and 4.15.
Med's OPS vs. CIN is .714 vs Arroyo's .963. ATL is worth this price and a solid pick

If you find an edge, don't bother sharing it.
Ppl will insult you over it, then use it themselves. Most ppl on this site are total losers and insult people, but ironically tail these ppl. When you find your edge, keep it quiet. Nobody here is here to help you, or cares about you winning, only what they can get out of you. Don't bother explaining yourself. Just data mine and look for ideas in a few gem posts, and ignore all the haters.

HELP with creating computer software or small program to design to use my capping methods
in Systems & Strategies
Right now I am capping game by spreadsheet and ms word.
I have all my parameters (starting pitcher stats, bullpen, runs, defense, travel, etc... ) that I record and compile. In total I have about 25 specific things I look for and assign points to these variables. When I am done recording all the stats for the two teams, I add up the points and the team with the higher points, that's my pick. I then view the line and if there is value I bet it. This process takes me about 20-30 minutes a game or 3-4 hours on a standard 12-15 game day. I have been using my system for 2 years and have a win% of ~57.5. I am done tinkering. I don't make insane money with it, but I do make about $2000 per month using my standard unit sizes. It's not enough to live off, but it's perfect for me because it's extra income to my paramedic job. What I want to do is design a program where the program asks me each of my questions and I just type in the data. The program does all the math for me and spits out a pick. I don't need it to be too fancy where the program auto retrieves stats from websites (because it will always depend on these links) but just a program that provides a simple GUI (graphical user interface) and cuts down my work time by about 25-50%. My problem is I don't know much about programming. Is there a program that can make another program without having too much programming experience, where i can just drag and drop, or use a GUI. Something similar to how Microsoft use to have Frontpage to make web pages and you didn't know how to program html. Thanks for any help, |
