Blazers ML +260 (1 Unit)
Blazers +7.5 (2 Units) Blazers/GSW 1st Half O108 (2 Units) I think that the pace and tempo are reved up from the start and stays that way through this game with a hostile atmosphere in GS which is what fuels Lillard and McCollum. They love to shut people up and are the better all around players in this game. Curry and Thompson are better shooters, but the Blazers guards can get their own shot, off the dribble or pass, whenever they want, are more athletic, will guard the GSW guards tough, as well as make them work on the defensive end more that anyone has all year. I think this game will be a wake up call to everyone that Portland is here for real and they can play with anyone. This team is determined.

Never would've imagined they would each come out shooting like this! However where this style of play suits the Zags, I don't think TT can sustain and the game is starting to settle into more of the flow I thought it would play out
On the bright side it is stuffing the stat sheet for all of my player props and player prop parlays, looking good so far and those would be much more lucrative then the under play. I think the Zags cover still on that end

This one is simply a feel that Purdue is not right now, I have watched Carson Edwards play a lot this year, saw him in person almost beat my Noles single handedly at home we had to pull it out in the final seconds. He doesn't quit and has never backed down from a situation, he always shows up and balls out and has elevated that whole team as others have started to contribute. I think they can get their style of play at least at times as Virginia has been sketchy all tournament and I just don't trust them. They can't keep relying on coming back and winning games at the end. If they get behind against a team with the quality of Purdue then they may never get a chance. They have been exposed, especially against athletic and explosive players. FSU showerd that against them in the ACC tournament, they never could hang against Duke all year. They are fundamentally sound, but that only gets you so far at this level without some raw athletic talent. If Virginia can't hit 3's to stay in it then they may be in trouble as Hunter is their only inside presence |

In this game I see the #1 Zags offense vs. the #1 TT defense, and although TT is no scrubs on the offensive end either, Gonzaga has shown the ability to play slower games and play great defense while scoring in the half court. They haze a size advantage, should be able to get boards, have the most athletic player on the court in Clarke, and TT especially their big man Owens, who barely weighs 200 lbs I would think, is susceptible to getting into foul trouble as he gets pushed around down low and has to reach. Gonzaga is also a great FT shooting team should it need to win that way. I also think Gonzaga is also the better passing team and able to create for each other and hit 3's in half court offense and they will ultimately be too much for TT |

For the Hou-UK game I am leaning UK -2.5 but I think it will be a close game and could see UK winning by 2. I am not going to make a play until I find out the status of PJ Washington for UK, or at least have a good idea. I am thinking he will play and just be limited minutes but Reid is a beast in the post also and so I don't worry that much over that. Houston has a veteran group so I am looking more for that added mental support that the Cats would have if PJ can suit up and play, even if he doesn't stuff the stat sheet.
I am also most likely going to have a play on OVER 134 but again, going to wait and see what the word is Friday morning once they start getting close to finalizing lineups and making a decision and all to see how likely it is that PJ Washington will play. |
