The Rays failing versus the lefty Hamels was predictable but now bettors are jumping on the Rangers bandwagon and the Rays have the better pitcher (72.2/62.2) and take a 41.5 rating, 7.20 oera and 10 quality performances in their last 15 shots at righty. (Rangers 36.8, 4.2, 7 qs) Orioles -139, Fiers/Tillman The Astros exploded last night but it was not an out of character performance for them as they got off to a great start by bombing the lefty Miley. Righty, especially good ones like Tillman are a different story. In that area they have given only 4 quality performances their last 15 and show a probable oera of 2.73. The O’s counter with 9 of 15 and 7.42. Marlins +111, Phelps/Kuhl There may be a lot of “gut feeling” on my part in this play but I think bettors consistently overvalue the Pirates and HFA. I won’t even explain the differences as they are all pretty slim. If you don’t like it, don’t play. Phillies +121, Weaver/Hellickson The ridiculous line of the day. Lucas Weaver has not shown us much and Hellickson is having a great season. To top it off the Phillies are the much higher offensive probability team today and also have HFA, for whatever it is worth. False favorite here folks. Red Sox -129, Pomeranz/Norris No comparison here. The Red Sox hold every important categorical edge for a 61.7% win probability. Royals -139, Santiago/Kennedy Never stand in front of a freight train with a head of steam built up when they bring their best righty against an offense that is inconsistent and struggling at the moment. Again, last night I said the Royals are getting what they need and of course the offense came through in the tenth. Snapping at the Tigers heels now and they can smell blood in the water. BOL |

Curious Key-what's your take on Maddon, Cub's manager? Everyone seems enamored with him and why not-Cubs on cruise control! However, last night, he makes a very curious move, bringing in a very rusty pitcher in a tough situation. He had other options but he brings in Rondon. Of course, the Cubs go on to lose a game they had in hand. No biggie right? I mean your up 30 games and it's cruise control. However, to my eye, it points out the potential achilles heel of the Cubs! There pullpen is still a crapshoot basis, especially in pressure situations. They literally have one shut down guy in Chapman.

No, it was "genius" Joe who screwed that game up. He brought in a pitcher who hadn't thrown in 10 days, completely rusty and the Cards, as one might assume, lit him up! Seriously, Joe-you "had" to bring him in a pressure filled situation? |

Lmao! Genius Joe, blows another game by bringing in a very rusty relief pitcher. Wait till the games really start to count and the noose tightens, lol. The Cuds are a ways from a WS shoe-in !!! |

Actually, Steph for 2 MVP's were very poor choices !!!

Please, a 2 time back to back MVP playing like this? Are you kidding me! OK, you say he never recovered from his injury but does that explain his great lack of on court decisions? Steph, is going to and should take a lot of heat for this !!!

I guarantee you-loveable Steph is going to catch a lot of garbage. I don't want to hear, he was injured, playing at only 60%, etc. My behind, he looked horrible shooting and more importantly made very stupid on court decisions! A 2 time MVP , on the big stage, has got to step up and be a leader-Steph failed miserably !!

Actually, last year, as it has now played out-a totally injured Cav's team took GS to the bring and this year beat them. You can't be a two time MVP and play so horrendous! Sorry Steph, you are exposed!! Yes, you are a great shooter and ball handler but it ends there. Enjoy your 2 MVP's-not likely to see another!

What will be remembered is the horrendous play, in a finals ,by a leagues two time MVP! That will probably be the last of his MVP runs. They will turn on so loveable Steph. Watch all the haters come out. Actually, Steph, you brought it on yourself. As an MVP, you have to do better!

Lol, splash=crash! Obviously, Steph Curry totally exposed! Great shooter and ball handler, not much more than that! That will probably be the last of those MVP's. His horrendous performance during the finals will resonate very loudly!

Come on !!! I'm not trying to look good, after the fact, trying to say I told you so! However, what did the Cav's really do differently than they tried in game #1? They pretty much looked the same to me. We knew the splash brothers weren't going to shoot those horrific numbers again! At some point, you have to accept and realize the eyeball test! OK, maybe the Cav's shoot the lights out at home (they will have to- to win). My point, does anyone think the Mr Lue or anyone else think they have answers? You had days to make adjustments and what? Going forward-why is this going to change? Yes, I look like Mr Obvious but isn't that what we are looking at?

Please, does anyone REALLY think a poster on a forum bets this amount of money, lol? People that fire those numbers aren't posting here!!!

I believe he was being held on his way, in to the end zone, before the pass was under way. After blatant holding, it's typical for the defensive back to raise his arms in to the air to try and disguise his transgression-that's exactly what he did! Again, just an observer! I believe a holding call was more than justified!

I believe you are correct- no Pass Int! Ball was basically uncatchable from where Gronk was. However, the ref who threw the flag was going to call ? He could have EASILY called HOLDING-very easily! That's automatic five yards and first down! Gronk was being held, then mugged and face guarded during that whole play! A holding call should have been made-period. Of course, this doesn't guarantee that NE would have scored-we will never know! A BLATANT missed call. Mind you-I had no dog in the this hunt-just an observer!

First of all-no dog in the hunt. That call should have been called HOLDING! Pass Int wasn't the call. However, we will never know what the ref, who threw the flag was going to call. In fact, off the ball receivers get holding calls in favor off the offense ( happened at least once tonight). That call should have been made. Automatic five yards and a first down. Otherwise-the defense should just tackle every receiver and not worry, lol! Yes, the dumbass explanation (re: pass interference may have some validity as the ball could have been deemed uncatchable-however he was being mugged/held. A definite holding call should have been enforced! Even so-no guarantee that NE would have scored-we will never know! Terrible way to end a game on an obvious and BLATANT missed call!

Absolutely, Gerry Austin (obviously a shill trying to stick up for his former colleagues) made a fool of himsel with a dumbass explanation! How many times do we see an off the ball receiver get a holding call in the offensive. In fact, it happened tonight! Holding is holding and that was BLATANT.

Sure he had no chance to get to the ball ( Gronkowski), duh -he was being held -no question! Often times receivers, who are being held, off the ball, get a holding call. How do you pick up the flag with BLATANT holding? The BS explanation by Austin, at end of game, was horseshit. Mind you-I had no dog in this hunt,-merely observing a very good game. Granted, even if NE got another chance-we will never know if they would have converted! However, very suspicious ending!
