The hardest thing has been for me to learn self control.. but I'm finally mastering it. Thank you THREEDOG for telling me there's a certain percentage one should bet on a single or parlay bet. That is great info. to know. I appreciate your sound advice.

Did it take all of you some time to finally learning the secret?? I used to make huge bets and whenever I lost.. I would pretty much be out of money.. but I have learned to make just a couple bets every day and I only make small bets.. and I'm figuring out, that over time.. all of those small bets add up and I'm having much more success than when I make multiple bets a day and would make them "bigger bets" in hopes of making money faster.

Sportsanalyst! welcome to the NHL forum :) I don't know a lot about hockey either.. but I also am here because there is no nba.. and I'm not doing bad myself. The last 2 days I've gone 5-0. I wanted to send you a message because I like your picks for tonight. I feel the same way about Toronto. -125 I don't know why.. but I do know that Florida can score in bunches if they play great hockey, so lets see what happens. I do have a bet on them though. I also like the kings for tonight. They have to win sooner than later and today is a home game and looks favorable. Predators can be a tough opponent too when they are in sync. I'm also eyeing Wild. They are cruising right now. Calgary is a shaky team. I'm almost thinking of risking a little on Wild. I hope you continue to win and enjoy this hockey betting experience. It's too bad there's no NBA but hopefully we'll have half a season at least LOL. Best of luck bud.

I locked in  Toronto ML and Sabres ML. They seem to be popular picks to win tonight. I feel like the Panthers will either make the game really close and barely lose.. or barely win. I'm taking my chances that Toronto pulls out the win. Panthers lost that game on Sunday when they were up 3-0 in the second period. They want to prove they can win. Toronto also has something to prove since they lost 0-7 against Bruins last game. This game will be in Air Canada Centre so it will favor them.

Jets are playing their final road game on their long road trip  and are playing on one game of rest. I see the Sabres ready to keep pushing their win total higher. They will come out playing hard. Their best goalie is starting!

Good Luck everyone! I hope you all come out on top for the day. If both Toronto and Sabres win then I will pick a night game to bet on, later on. But I'm leaning towards Kings right now. They are playing in front of their home crowd and desperately need a win.

No offense guys.. but your picks need some work. I have been following your threads but I haven't been picking the same picks as you. On Sunday I went 3-0 .. I picked Dallas to win as well Tampa Bay and the Rangers... then Yesterday I went with the Bruins and Sharks.. so I'm 5-0 the last 2 days.. but I don't double up on my bets each time. I just bet the money I made and go from there.

I think your problem is you go for the teams that COULD win but most likely wont. Yes, they are worth more money but you've got to get a streak going. Best of Luck to all from here on out!

I have to admit.. when I bet on games.. sometimes I get carried away. I will win a few games in a row.. and then I will feel confident in my ability to put a ton of money on the next game and win with that one. But the games I tend to put a lot of money down on, those are the ones I find myself losing. I don't like experiencing that roller coaster ride.. winning and then losing a lot and trying to catch back up to where I was.. and over and over again.
This past week I have tried a different strategy. I put less money down on the games but I bet on a couple of games every night so they were well thought outs picks.. and I have been on a winning streak!! I have won 9 picks in a row now. Is this the right strategy. Am I finally figuring how to bet smart????? Who else bets the same way????
