Game 1: Redwoods vs Chaos 

Rowlett brothers out, Blaze played in the world games, maybe tired. Slight edge at faceoff to woods. Would make you think Redwoods are the lean here… soooo Give me Chaos ML -120 

Game 2: Whipsnakes vs Archers

Rambo and Ament out, I say Rambo is the bigger loss so that bodes well for archers. Faceoff is a lean to the archers, Goaltending is similar in my opinion. So lean looks to be Archers…… that’s why I will be taking Whipsnakes ML -110

I expect these games to be much closer then yesterdays games, look for some clutch play in the last few minutes of these games.

cannons vs atlas 

on paper the atlas should win virtually all faceoffs. Cannons missing some D guys. Atlas has a great offense… that’s why I’ll take Cannons +1.5 +105 1U

I’m back… didn’t like the games yesterday. Different story today, let’s get some!

Game 1 Whips vs Atlas

Give the edge on faceoffs to Atlas I think we see Baptist’s pull in around 65%. Offense, I see Whips as the stronger offense, I’ll call out new guy Dordevic, 17% shooting is pathetic. Move the ball, your good and will score but you also have lethal weapons all around you. Defense tie, whips D looked soft in the first game, Atlas looked ok but soft as well. Goaltending, Bernlohr is the better goalie.

If they use their offensive weapons correctly we will be watching Whips celebrating the W.

Game 2 Chaos vs Cannons

Momentum coming off a loss in week one for the Chaos? Kinda, they had a few guys missing week 1 for that indoor championship, but will the amped up atmosphere of those indoor games carry over between leagues?!?
I say no, I’ll fade the Chaos. Cannons D looked good, Hartzell out with a hamstring but still see a physical D coming to play. The big factor will be at face off, Kelly only won 28%, if he steps up today and can clip closer to 50% we will see Coach Holman pick up his first PLL W today.

Adding… OK I’m playing the under, under, under. Thoughts are: I have Nebraska winning this game, but with the addition to a new offensive coordinator, the fact that it’s the first game, game is overseas. I see some miscommunication early. I also see the same on the NE side of the ball where they couldn’t score much last year on Nebraska. I also think the D for both teams are going to be fired up and flying around the field. It’s will come down to big long plays, if those are hard to come by this will go under.

Illinois at home in the season opener vs a Wyoming team who normally has a strong team and plays tough BUT looks like the transfer pool picked them apart pretty good. Give me Illinois -1

Vandy is 5-28 in their last 3 seasons, 2 wins last year (by 2 UConn and by 3 col st.) Hawaii looking for a fresh face with their new coach, stadium should be hoping for the season home opener. Give me Hawaii to keep it inside 3tds +22.5

Week 8 predictions and bets!

Playing archers both ways

Archers -125   1.25U to win 1U

Archers -1.5 +120 1U to win 1.2U

Archers looking to get a win streak going. They face a Atlas team who is going to be without the leagues top faceoff guy. Atlas won the first matchup 10-9, in a game where Atlas dominated the faceoffs 19-4. That’s 15 extra possessions and still only won by a goal. The Archers offense will get a more equal percentage of possession in this one, giving them the chance to operate their highly lethal offense. As good of a team as Atlas is, I see the Archers winning this one by a few.

Wipsnakes and Chrome is going to be a close one. First matchup this year. Wipsnakes play close games all the time and find ways to pull out W’s. Chrome currently has their leading goal scorer (wisnauskas) listed as out. That’s a huge factor in this game, I was leaning a Chrome win with a full roster but now it’s a no bet for me as this seems like another down to the wire game with the wipsnakes.

Waterdogs -185 1.85U to win 1U

Cannons took the week 1 matchup by a score of 16-10 but it was even uglier then that as it was a 10 goal game half way though the 3rd. The key for waterdogs is to keep (Thompson) in check, which is hard to do, had 6pts 4g2a in week 1. That being said, This game will be different, waterdogs are playing well right now and are making a statement to be a top team heading into playoffs. -185 seems a little high but willing to take as I see the W falling the Waterdogs way.

Redwoods -115 .58U to win .5U (could increase to full Unit depending on the other bets)

This may seem to early to talk about but this week is extremely big for Chaos. Their schedule is loaded to the finish and a loss here would have them flirting with the first PLL team to be crowned champions one year and miss out on the playoffs the next. Redwoods have played much better since week 3 (where they beat chaos) I believe the Redwoods continue to play well, scratch out a win in a very close and extremely physical matchup.

Thought I would create an account to share some picks. Goal is to build a nice bank during the final weeks of the PLL season to begin the college football season with.

1st pick

Archers -220 to win 1U

Big win before the Allstar brake to end the first half over .500, returning a key offensive weapon to an already lethal offense. Only weak spot on this team is faceoffs, they win more then 40% it’s an easy W.

if Archers win, playing the night game…

Waterdogs +1.5 -130  to win 1U

Had the lead going into the 4Q in their previous matchup vs Crome in week 3 and lost by 3. Since then, ran into the Allstar break with a blowout win vs last years champs, and a 1goal win vs a strong whipsnakes team. Waterdogs continue their momentum and get the W but taking the +1.5 as it should be a tight one.
