replied to MGM Grand Comps for Sportsbook Plays? in Las Vegas GOOD NEWS>>BAD NEWS!! Bad News, Just got back, and I want to share some of the experience. First off the sportsbook at the MGM sucked out loud. No comps no matter what you bet. Supervisor was a rude bastard, the freaking horse players drove me up the wall, place is way too small, etc etc. Made my bet and couldn't get out of there fast enough. Good News, The casino and the people were outstanding. Was very impressed with the treatment I received from everyone, especially the Casino Floor Supervisor ( Ed Trimbath). Grant you I gave them very good action (fortunately I won playing only Blackjack) and the comps were outstanding. In talking with Ed about the Sportsbook debacle he fully understood where I was coming from. I couldn't understand the dichotomy within the same property, and then it all made sense when Ed mentioned to me that the Sportsbook was contracted out to another entity.
