Good question! I don't have a strong feel for this game since I haven't seen the Huskies play yet this season and I'm a big eye test guy. I did see Oregon's game against Houston and thought they hung in nicely for the most part, but the Cougars hit a handful of really clutch 3's that always kept the Ducks at a safe enough distance.

Everyone knows Dayton was highly regarded coming into this season and that injuries have slowed their start. But while they've gotten some guys back, they currently don't pass the eye test to me. They should improve at some point and perhaps noticeably so, but I think it's still too early and there's a question of just how healthy they are at a couple key spots. They still have a great defense though and that will keep them in games while they struggle offensively. However, I don't feel they deserve to be lined as nearly two possession chalk here against NC State. There aren't any kind of big expectations for the Wolfpack this year, but they do some things solidly, most importantly sharing and shooting the ball. This will definitely be a clash of styles as the Flyers like to play slow and methodical while the Pack prefer to play in transition. NCSU isn't without any defense though, as they generate a nice amount of steals. The Wolfpack played competitively with Kansas yesterday while Dayton engaged in a slobber knocker with the Badgers. That type of affair perfectly suited both the Flyers and Badgers similar styles, thus it was the ultimate showdown each of those teams could focus on. The Flyers lost by 1 but blew so many chances to win that game, and I feel that will leave them a little flat in this spot against NC State who doesn't carry as much of a burden and expectations. Give me the +3.5 points in my back pocket with the better offensive team who I believe is in the better physical and mental mindset for this B2B spot. Happy Thanksgiving to all and GO WOLFPACK!!! |

Damn NE made a nice lob jam with 2 secs to go to win it by 2. The +5 cashes no problem but DAMN did I want that ML to!!! Great gritty effort by Manhattan who lack outside shooting like usual, but make up for it in many other ways. Be careful trying to fade them this year people! The Jaspers are still very prideful!!! |

Tied again in OT with 12.5 secs to go.. NE ball.. need a turnover or stop!!! |

Missed the damn FT which would've put them up by 2 and then they foul NE on a 3 pointer.. NE hits only 2 and now we head to OT yet again! LFG JASPERS!!! |

@F5n Yes there's been a lot of late action here on the Jaspers after the Huskies were steamed earlier this morning. |

We have another team here in Manhattan with a very low perception due to the firing of their head coach right before the start of the season. Manhattan then subsequently lost their best player and starting PG to the transfer portal. No one has wanted to bet on the Jaspers, which is certainly understandable for the most part, and the market has reflected that. But I actually watched both of their main games thus far - at VCU and at FDU - and what I noticed is that they still play their same brand of ball - chaos press and hard nosed on defense plus always crashing the boards hard on both ends. In general, they just enjoy making life difficult on their opponents. So that's carried over with their interim coach who is both a former Jasper player and assistant under their old head coach. In the end, this is still a blue collar program who takes a lot of pride in their style of play and that's key in the underdog role. Thus this represents way too much value to pass up in a matchup against a very young Northeastern team who still doesn't have their rotations set and is doing a lot of experimenting before conference play starts. They do have a young stud in the making who will need to be double teamed or picked up high so he can't dominate the action, but I trust that the Manhattan staff is aware of that. This game is being held in London, thus no homecourt for either side. Give me those handful of points and extra 70 cents on the money line too. GL to all and GO JASPERS!!! |

Here we are. Another day and yet another big fat Under brewing in the Atlantis - this time it's Wisconsin and Kansas battling it out, the first to 40 points will win this game. Seriously the O/U in these games should be no more than 100. |
