Thanks Plasma...
Would I need to grab some of these deals in advance or is it first come first serve type stuff? I assume it's packed that weekend.

Heading down to LV for NFL Wild Card Weekend (8th - 11th)
Any tips? Assume the sportsbooks will be jammed, but hoping to maybe go to a bar to watch the games rather than sitting at the sportsbooks. Any deals we can take advantage of? Food/Booze deals? Any help appreciated boys.....

Heading to LV this weekend and wondering what other sports betting action I will get at most books, specifically Aria. Obviously baseball is a factor, as is PGA. Will I get soccer friendlies? Or tennis? Or summered guy nba stuff? Just curious as this is my first time in Vegas outside of the regular NFL NHL NBA schedule. Thanks ..

Eh ... thought I'd share some of my information with others incase they were curious for future reference. I decided to stick with Aria, got there at 715-730 for the 1000 (LV time) kickoffs. The place wasn't jammed, but there was some people already scoping out seats. I had no issue getting a nice couch in the corner which had a sweet view of all the TVs, including the big one on one of the side walls. Be aware though I saw 2-3 people saving a full row (maybe 10+ seats) of people. Probably too early to argue with people, but just know it's almost like going to the movies....I would say around 845-900 this place filled up quick. If you want to make bets, do it early. A lot of people would stay, sit on the floor, or lean against the wall to watch the game. I even got a "sit down" when I got up to cheer a Cowboys play because there were several people behind me watching some other game. Naturally, I ignored them. Drink tickets are available. I had made several bets so getting them wasn't an issue for me - bets ranged from $15-$100, I couldn't tell you the minimum off hand, sorry. However, if you are relying on them I would probably make your bets early, accumulate some, and tip well (a few times the waitress didn't even take the ticket). I also used previous day tickets for the day of the game. They didn't question me. I would say overall it was a nice sports book. A little jammed once the games got going, but once the second set of games started you could find seats. When the late game kicked off, seating was not a problem at all. One complaint I would have is they don't serve food. I was the first in my party to get down there so I was starving and in need of a Coffee. I had to wait until someone else got there before I could get food - not ideal and didn't think to ask why, and not really sure if that's normal, but that was just an observation. best of luck |

Been to Vegas twice, but never for NFL season. Was there for NHL/NBA playoffs and never found watching a game to be difficult, however, NFL is a beast on it's own. Just wanted to see where the best place to watch football is on Sunday. I will be putting some bets down, but mainly looking for a place to watch the Cowboys game. I assume this won't be an issue, but I also don't want to get stuck with a tiny TV that I have to crank my neck to see. Additionally, since LV is 3 hours behind EST, the 1:00 games will start at 10:00AM PST. What time should I get there? I was thinking between 8:30 and 9:00, but even that might not be enough time. Is there a good spot to go where I can place bets, walk 10 feet, and be at a bar to watch the game? (ie - NY NY) .... any advice is greatly apprecaited. Cheers! |

I am heading to LV this weekend and was reading these stories to get myself jacked .... well done gents, you were successful. This will be my 2nd trek to LV, and in my first trip (my buddies BP) we just got our feet wet, but this time back I plan on being better prepared. Anyways, wanted to share a story about my first time around .... I gamble quite a bit, have back home, but mainly stuck to low key sports bets, roulette, BJ, and a little bit of craps (again, mostly low key bets, nothing extreme). So one morning at 10AM we're having Vodka and OJ's at the Bellagio ... I'm walking past the blackjack tables and there is a crowed of maybe 25-30 people around one table. I think, sweet someone famous, and walk over. Now this dude could have been famous, no idea, but one thing is certain he was hammered. He had every seat at the table occupied with roughly $500-$1000 in bets at each positon. He had a massive stack infront of him, and his general attitude made me think that he had just gone on a massive run (if I had to estimate, I would say over $40k). He was calling out to people watching, asking for kisses, giving high 5s to people. It was pretty funny. I watched for a bit, he raked in some more big hands, and went on a rant about how "he was suppose to be at the golf course for 1000 for a golf tournament but clearly didn't give a F*CK" ...... So I got a chuckle, walked around some more, played a bit, met up with my buddies. As we are leaving I decided I want to see if he's still there (about an hour and a half or so had passed) ... I come back to see a very thinned out crowed around him, not to mention a very thinned out chip stack .... he now looks like a shell of his former self. Now true he could have cashed in, but this was not the look of a man who just raked in and was playing with the houses money ..... Admittedly I felt bad for said drunk guy because I respect gambling, and he seemed like he was enjoying himself. Still though, haha, couldn't help but shake my head as I walked away .... |

Does anyone handicap the UK races? Cheltenham is coming up in just over a month, would be interested in hearing some thoughts on that. Lots of races today too at Leopardstown which includes some of the Cheltenham hopefuls. |

@Werker .. Yeah I agree it's hard to bet against Eli and Brady if either of their teams wins. But what's the fun in that? If you like Eli for MVP, throw a little on either of those two suggestions up top just incase. Any other props you like? |

We all know the boring two you can pick, what about the others ... Victor Cruz MVP 15/1 Guy has been red hot lately. Might get lucky and see Edelman in the slot all day long which is a plus matchup for him. Ahmad Bradshaw 35/1 NYG not scared to run with their two prong attack. Bradshaw gives them more life out of the backfield and could be interesting at 35/1. Looked good against SF last week. The split is a bit of a worry, maybe throw a little on Jacobs at 75/1 just incase.
