Quick question for you all:

Arsenal ml. -200
Arsenal -3/4. (-145)

It is my understanding that if you take the ml and its a draw you lose the ml bet. If that's the case why would you just take the -3/4?

What am I missing?

Golden boot award equals the most goals in the tournament.

My local book has the following odds:

James Rodriguez -285
Muller +225
Messi +2000
Robben /persie +5000

Messi and muller lead the tourney with 4 goals each and Rodriguez has 3 but is out of the competition (why is he favored). Robben / persie have 3 with a game to go. Wouldn't wagering on all the plus money players guarantee a profit?

I don't know if I am missing something it just seems odd the favorite according to the odds can't be the high scorer.

Thoughts?

Why would anyone choose the ml bet if the odds are poor?

Can someone please explain this for me: my book has:

Spain -131
Holland +360
Draw +235

It then has Spain -3/4 +111

Is the Spain money line to win is -131... Isn't the -3/4 essentially the same thing but now plus odds?

You shouldn't place a bet because it's the first game on and you want to collect for the next series of games. Pick what you like and place it regardless of time, if they're a winner you'll win a little bit later on. When you go by time you will lose.
