-8.61 units for that day.
Updated Record: 62-71, +4.61 units It's been a tough ride the last few weeks, decided to take next month off to just watch games. Hopefully I'll be back at it again come conference tournament time. Best of luck to all the regular posters here, keep on rolling.

It's been a tough ride the last week or two. I have a few plays today, mainly focusing around Duke. I'm not losing sight into this. Duke is the better team, even without Kelly. I think they come out with a W. With NC State's loss to Wake last night, the top of the ACC is for the taking here. Miami's big man Reggie Johnson is still out, and he's just an integral part of the team as Kelly is for Duke. Having said that, Miami's been winning without him, mainly because of his replacement being more than serviceable and that the team is filled with seniority. I still think Duke wins this game outright, it'll be a close one, and if it comes down to FT's, which it might, Duke is ranked about 130 spots higher nationally in FT%. (70th to 207th I believe). The Zips are at the top of the conference again, and should win the MAC. Toledo's been hovering around .500 the last few games, and although they're decent at home, they're too sporadic to back. Akron should win this game, and the spread's been trending more and more in their favor. Some see a letdown spot for Wright State, but I think they're just coming into form. I've said this before and I'll say it again, they're such a sound, solid team. They don't get blown out, as evidenced by last game, play well on the road, and again, Youngstown St. is too inconsistent. Wright State's the right play here. A couple of tough losses for C. Michigan, but they're still a decent team in the MAC. They're solid at home 5-2, and No. Illinois is not only awful in general, but just 1-8 on the road. They avg. a dozen less points a game than C. Mich., can't shoot the 3-ball, shoot about 35% from the floor, and are subpar in FT% too. Take Central Michigan here. 3t Teaser C. Michigan PK Duke +6 3.30 units to win 3 units Butler +10.5 Duke ML 5 units to win 3.57 units Akron -3/Duke -1/Wright St. +6 .31 units to win 1.07 units That last bet I bought a few points, 3 for Akron, 1 for Duke, 3 for Wright St. Just playing around and saw the payout of 3:1 and liked those lines and odds. Good luck to everyone, let's make some |

Obviously those teams don't compare in the least to Cincy (although Rutgers isn't awful and got smoked by 25), but home team is a huge advantage in CBB. OrangeMEN take it down tonight.

Adding one more play today:
'Cuse/ND ML Parlay - 5 units to win 3.69 units I think G'town struggles to find offense. Porter's really coming to form, but that won't be enough. I find it really hard to believe ND will drop another one at home so soon from their loss at UConn, who's a much better shooting team than G'town is with Napier and Boatright and that freshman guard I forget his name who's playing better. Anyway, 'Cuse at home and ND at home for the win tonight. Best of luck to all today. Let's make some

What are your guys thoughts on G'town/ND....Notre Dame burned me the other day vs. UConn. Can they really lose another game at the Joyce Center so soon? I don't know. They're home court advantage used to be overbearing for teams, is it still? With Whittington out, how the hell is G'town, a team that already struggles to put up points, be able to get enough offense from other than someone named Porter? Cooley pissed me off the other night. Why he was benched without being in too much foul trouble is beyond me, but he better get his act together. G'town's a great defensive team, don't get me wrong, but are they really going to go into ND's house and pull out a W?
Doesn't a ML parlay of Cuse and ND look good, or am I wrong?

Usually I'm all over Detroit, but they're giving up too many points here in my opinion. Wright State's been solid all year and should be able to hang with Detroit. They haven't lost by more than 10 in about 2 months. They played @ Cincy tough and lost by 10. If they can hold McCollum from going off, it should stay within single digits most of the game. They keep games close and this one will be no exception. 'Cuse at home is deadly. After knocking off a pesky Louisville team away from their home court, they should handle Cincy at home. 8 or 9's an awfully lot to give this Bearcat's club, but teased down to a pick 'em, I like the way it looks. Wright's still up in the air, but regardless, with a sprained knee I doubt he'll be close to 100%. That leaves it all in Kilpatrick's hands. OK State's a young, inexperienced team still trying to find some rhythm. They've dropped some on the road already, and playing at Baylor should fair no different. Can they stop Austin and Jackson? I say they cannot. 3t Teaser 'Cuse PK Baylor +4 3.30 units to win 3 units Wright State +18.5 May get on a 'Cuse ML parlay with either ND or Baylor, haven't decided yet. |

oof
Miss./Kansas/UMass ML Parlay - .31 units to win .30 units Miss./Kansas/UMass/Creighton +6 (bought 3) Parlay - .28 units to win .38 units Updated Record: 61-65, +16.64 units I guess the overall record doesn't matter nearly as much as the +/- units, given that some plays are weighed more heavily than others. Neverthless, losing in general never feels good. Sitting on my Pat's/Niner's bets, then getting back into CBB on Monday.

I know my title says "picks and write-ups", didn't purposely mean to put that in and fail to write anything. Just have the subject lines automatically populate. I do like these games tho. Miss. dominate at home, Kansas goes without saying, McLemore 100% or not, Texas is weak this year, def. rebuilding stages. UMass at home, GW won't keep up. Retiring Camby's # today, place will be amped. Creighton could take the game outright, bought insurance +6 in case some BS happens down the stretch. There, now I fell better.

awful day last night. On the wrong end of ND and Indiana, both losing outright. I decided to take the rest of the week off to just watch games and re-assess my positions.
Updated Record: 61-63, +17.23 units Still up overall so I can't complain, but I think a few days break will be good. If I had to pick two games today it'd be San Diego State -4.5 and Temple -4. Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the week, we'll pick it back up in a few days.

Like your picks, ND bounces back tonight. I like Creighton, N. Iowa has played them well the last few times out, but the Blue Jay's are really setting themselves apart as an elite team. They're for real.
Good luck tonight!

Boise's tough, they played well @ Wyoming, that could be a no play. Does NC State lay a stinker after that big win vs Duke, or do they gain momentum and take care of business on the road? Temple looks like a good play to me, I think they handle GW, but after looking at GW at home, it's not a sure bet. Would ML be better in this case? BYU has been on a tear recently, and they're home, but St. Mary's getting 7, that's just a gift. If you tease that to +15 it looks so beautiful. Iowa State will demolish a down West Virginia team this year @ home. I want to ML parlay it but I cannot unless it gets to -9.5 or lower, which it may or may not. I'd probably ML parlay it with San Diego State. They impressed me so much. They're 8-0 at home, UNLV is 2-14 ATS on the road in their last 16 games, insane. the Aztecs shoot much better at home with the 3 ball, and avg. 10 more points than the Runnin' Rebels compared to them at home and Rebels on the road. I'm still in love with the Buffaloes. They can go into Wash. and come out with a victory. Wyoming should beat Fresno State, not sure by how much, but another ML is in order.

Just taking some notes on games I like tomorrow:
UNLV @ San Diego St. -4.5 (take ML) St. Mary's +7 @ BYU (small ML & tease to +15) Wyoming -4.5 @ Fresno St. (take ML) NC State +2 @ Maryland Richmond @ Butler -9 (ML parlay it) Temple -4 @ GW Towson +9.5 @ Delaware Air Force @ Colorado St. -11 (tease to -3) Kansas St. -10 @ TCU (if drops to -9.5 then ML parlay it) West Virginia @ Iowa State -10 (if drops to -9.5 then ML parlay it) Colorado +3 @ Washington (small ML & tease to +11) New Mexico +2.5 @ Boise St. (small ML & tease to +10.5) |

a profitable day yesterday was denied by a hook. Louisville's D was stifling. I was correct that they get off to slow starts (should have played UConn +3.5 1st half), they're definitely fade material in the 1st half it looks like, but man, their pressure was something else. Today I'm rolling with Notre Dame, Bradley, and Indiana. Notre Dame has played so consistently the entire year, with a little hiccup vs. UConn last time out. St. John's has been more sporadic, and I expect a full effort from ND tonight. Wisky's 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games and 1-2 on the road this year. Wisky just doesn't have the offensive firepower to keep up with the Hoosier's 87ppg, not to mention a staunch 36% def. FG %. Bradley beat Southern Ill. earlier this year and now have the luxury of playing them on their own home court. The Brave's have skidded as of late with losses to Wichita State, Indiana State, and Iowa State, all decent teams. I know Bradley's a better team then their record indicates, and I just can't say the same for Southern Ill. While Bradley's biggest flaw is in the rebounding department, Southern Ill. is even worse. There will be few second chance efforts on both sides of the ball so I expect a low scoring affair with Bradley squeaking it out by single digits. 1 large play today Risk 3t Teaser Notre Dame +2 Bradley +1.5 3.30 units to win 3 units Indiana -2.5 Let's get back on track tonight.
