I think its pretty safe to say there are only 2 sides to this. either people are against joe or for joe. no in between. Could Joe have done more? Absolutely! Did Joe feel at the time he did enough? I firmly believe he did. Did Joe regret he did not do enough? No doubt about it! Lets not forget first and formost Sandusky is the real criminal here. That being said, Joe Pa loved not only the kids of that university but also loved younger children as well. He would do anything to help kids. Its easy for everyone to sit back and second guess someones decisions after the fact. But when put in a situation where one needs to act quickly maybe at the time you just do what you think is right. I think Joe did that when he went to the AD and President. Just want to throw this out there. Why did McQuerry not call the cops? Why did his dad not call the cops? In my opinion everyone wants to point the finger at Joe Pa because of his name. But Joe did what he had to do. To say he just turned his cheek and did nothing and harbors child abusers is a bit unfair and harsh. No ay in hell Joe would want to see any kid get hurt. I think Michael Robinson gave the best speech and people need to listen to it to hear how much of a stand up guy Joe Pa was. Joe Pa but football behind everything else. I know I will take heat for thic comment. Never has Penn State been in hot water over recruiting violations or academic issues. The man was about family values and academics before anything else. Also look at all he gave back in contributions to that school. All that being said you are either against him or for him. Just my 2 cents! |

RIP Joe No man has ever had the impact of any school that you had on Penn State. You will be greatly missed. This coming from a diehard Michigan fan! |

If he was not the sole person who could of made the biggest difference in this situation than I am confident that he was top 3 or so. and who determines what is "doing enough"? oh yea all the public determines what is enough after the fact. everyone is a genius years later. |

Maryland is only a 2 point favorite! Anyone know why? I had it capped at 6 or 7.
