For example, maybe in the year you won, the dates in the rules were for the prior year? created a topic Dear Covers' Team or anyone w/ authority to answer this correctly... in Streak Survivor To whom it may concern: I was reading the rules to Streak Survivor and noticed under "How to Register" that it began on 1/1/11 at 12:01 a.m. (ET) and ran through 12/31/11 at 11:59 p.m. (ET). Therefore, said time period for this contest expired and has been for 24 days. In response to the expiration of this contest per the rules, I have two questions/concerns: (1) why hasn't the running dates for Streak Survivor been updated for 2012? and; (2) does the lack of present dates mean that if someone were to successfully build a streak of 25, 21 or 17, they will not be paid the corresponding prize due to the "loophole" of an expired contest running period? I'd greatly appreciate someone with authority to speak on behalf of the contest to respond to my questions/concerns at your earliest convenience. I think it would be helpful to all contestants that we understand if there is even an active Streak Survivor at this current point in time or we're playing for nothing. Read a little more closely. 80% is definitely a high percentage and difficult to say the least but I strive to be the best I can be, as we all do. After the 1st paragraph (in which I split 1 win 1 loss) I said that's it for the plays of the day folks. I then went on to give a couple more plays to take if 2 weren't enough but they weren't strong plays by any means and I thought I made that clear. The other two were games I alerted ppl on to simply watch these young prospects. All in all, it wasn't a good day for anyone yesterday but if ppl took my words for what they were, they shouldn't have bet anything other than the Brewers and Angels. Looking to right the ship tonight and uncharacteristically will release more plays than usual; they are as follows: NYY -159 - Yanks looking better as of late, CC will get back to normal LAA -135 - Haren has to do what Weaver couldn't last night. Angels need to score at some pt right? Soft-throwing Fister on the mound for the Mariners should warm up those Angels bats Milw -105 - BrewCrew keeps it up even with hot and cold Narveson on the mound. Cincy -172 - James McDonald vs. that offense? Enough said Atlanta -110 - rookie RP turned SP on the mound for the Dbacks w/ a 0 era but Jurrjens is proven and on fire! replied to Baseball System Guaranteed to beat the books... in MLB Betting After a day off and lots of rain, JA33 is back and looking forward to adding to his impressive hit percentage of 86% with a couple solid plays and some other interesting things to watch for tonight. My top play of the day comes in at a nice low chalk of -125 riding w/ the Brew Crew and Yovani Gallardo, their former ace, who has had his difficulties this year but seems to be turning it around looking for his 3rd quality start in a row. The Pads have been hot and Mosely has been surprisingly good but I see the Milw bats getting to him for enough runs to back another quality start by YovGall. My next play in line also has some value in the low chalk and it's the Los Angeles Angels at -135. I'm going to ride with April's AL CY Young winner Jered Weaver, who should bounce back tonight after some subpar outings lately vs. the anemic Mariners. On the road Weaver has a 2.41 era this year so look for that to continue while he rights the ship. That's it for the plays of the day folks. Yes, only 2 games out of this entire board, but it's better to bet 2 winners than select a bunch of games that may or may not cash. However, if 2 games doesn't satisfy your tastebuds then lay a little bit of money on the Reds today -152. Morton has been a overachiever for the Pirates and Arroyo should keep the Reds offense in the game long enough to etch out a win. I also am leaning towards the Indians tonight as a dog +110 vs Peavy and the CWS. Just back from injury, I'm not sure he can handle that offense right now so if Masterson pitches like he has most of this year, the Indians pull this one out. The last two plays are not necessarily ones to bet but for those who don't know much about the next wave of future stars in MLB, pay attention to the Royals and Braves tonight, who both throw their top pitching prospects. KC faces TX so talk about a real test here for Duffy's first pro start. In AAA he had a low era and above a 9 k/9 so I'm interested to see if that translates here vs. TX. KC is +127 if you choose to ride w/ the top 30 prospect, I'm not saying to do so, all I'm saying is keep your eyes peeled for a budding star in his pro debut....Atlanta also throws out their top pitching prospect tonight vs the Diamondbacks. Teheran is the top pitching prospect in all of MLB and this is his 2nd start in the pros. His last start was decent but he had control issues. I'm guessing he'll settle down in this start and do a lot better. Atlanta at -115 is actually a decent bet here. Hope you all appreciate my lengthy write=up here. Some days I'll have time for write-ups and others I wont, but I'll try my best to put winning plays on here almost every single day and keep my hit percentage at or above 80% for the best in the business. replied to Baseball System Guaranteed to beat the books... in MLB Betting a bit public? all your picks resemble each other so if you're gonna throw jabs at me, i'll throw some at you. first off, I'd rather go 3-0 on supposed "public plays" than give a pick out to everyone on the Padres; seems you are trying to get too smart for your own good. Second and most importantly, how are you plus 13 units when the other day a guy asked you how many units each play counts for and you told him there's no difference and to put equal units on all plays for now. Yet a few hours later you are +13 units? lol If you want ppl to back you, I suggest being consistent in your posts and not say 1 day, each play is equal units and then the very next day say you are +13 units and some plays are worth 5 others 3 so on and so forth. Consistency and honesty are key here bro! Sorry for the weekend off ppl, been real busy but will hopefully make it on here tomorrow to continue my undefeated MLB streak. replied to Baseball System Guaranteed to beat the books... in MLB Betting Hi All, Not a believer in sharing is caring since we're all in this for ourselves but since I've returned to the game I'm hitting at a 67% rate (which should be higher but you know how it goes here on the streak, they limit plays and you take anything on some nights). My hit rate off of this site is 82% since 4/18/11. And over the past decade I've had my fair share of winning big and some losing but overall am a positive capper. Don't get fooled by some ppl here in threads acting like they have the picks and know it all, always asks for career numbers because we all know, in gaming all that matters is the end result, $$$$$.
