Oh god, this is ridiculous. This is just the way it goes sometimes. Flip a coin and you’ll eventually hit the same side 8 times ina row. I know I’ve lost 8 hands of blackjack in a row! Sh*t happens. They need to get over it. Ridiculous to think this big bad evil ref has a vendetta against the rams organization |

Draft kings AC refunded my $1220 wager... and my pick for the weekend
in NBA Betting Just wanted to share this story and see if anyone has ever had such a incident.
Im here in AC. I came for the weekend for nfl action (and to cash in my Clemson +5.5 $9550 ticket)
well, I came here with the intentions of just screwing around till Sunday with no major action (I’ve lost a few hundred at the BJ table). Although, this magic and the nets game intrigued me and I just couldn’t stay away. So right before tip off, I run up to the window with $1340 and said “give me magic moneyline”. Well, this ditz asked me to confirm (there’s a little digital screen to confirm your bet) and she had me Orlando magic, taking the points for the first half. I told her no, you have it wrong, I want Orlando for the game “but I’ll take this as a sign from the gambling gods to take Orlando first half instead, go ahead and give it to me”. So she smiled, laughs and told me ok but she’d have to cap it at $1220 since it was live action..we exchanged a few friendly words, I grabbed my ticket and was on my way to the room. Well, mid second quarter (this is a second half bet, mind you) magic are up by like 16... so I start making my way to the sport book to cash in and as I’m walking I glance at my ticket and my heart sinks. This ditz not only had accidentally put me down for a first half bet instead of the game, but the second go around she screwed up majorly and gave me the nets 1st half. So I literally end up with the opposite bet I initially asked for. I wanted Orlando and the game and I end up leaving the book with a bet on nets on the half. Needless to say, I was furious.
I went to the “acting manager” and told them to play back the audio, I never once said the word “nets” or “Brooklyn “ . He said unfortunately, no audio. I told him Your girl screwed up twice ina row. She’s totally incompetent. I caught the first screw up but the first time but unfortunately the second was NOT caught and I didn’t bother to look at the ticket because we had a full blow conversation about the damn bet. So, long story short, he disappears for a long time with my ticket.... goes to the back and he tells me to check my tickets next time and he instructs the assistant manager to refund me!
I was indeed flabbergasted. I’ve never heard of this happening and the assistant manager agreed and said I’m EXTREMELY LUCKY and WOW. With that being said, check your tickets at draft kings AC, their staff kind of sucks, they don’t give Comp drinks, they even attempted to charge me for water today. But I will say, they got it right at the end and I’m glad their management did this as I thought I had a 0% chance of getting a refund and I just wanted to make sure they were aware of this BS because I suppose I should’ve looked at my ticket... my bet would’ve been a easy winner, mind you but “a push is a win” in this instance
anyways, saints big this weekend-free money-bet the house (same as I said last weekend) waiting for the line to drop some more, I know as the squares continue to roll into town, more money will be poured on LA $$$$
Leaning towards Brady and the points on the second game but I may just lay off until the second half or until I see a line that I love for “in game action”. |

Thanks for the info on meadow lands BTW. Actually no. Not in Ny. Wish I was atm. Do you know if their sports book takes decent sized bets? I mean, I’m not that guy that’ll drop 100k a game but I’m going to want 2-5k a game max. |

So I’ve been hotter than fish grease these playoffs. I’m not even going to mention my record because I know there’s no proof for any of it since I haven’t posted here in awhile. Anyhow, let’s get right to it. Patriots are a lock tomorrow- I wish I was not in Texas right now so I can bet the house on it. I’d bet this whole ticket 100% That confident.
Anyhow, speaking of this ticket....
I dropped my little boy off last week (from Texas to New York) with his mom (divorced). I wanted some action so I hauled butt to Atlantic City. The last bet I placed was on Clemson. 5000 to win 9550. I plan on leaving town this week again to place bets, watch the games and leave Monday after I’ve made my Super Bowl wager. Well, I reallly don’t feel like spending more than double going to Atlantic City VS Vegas, being in the freezing cold, driving more than 5 hours total to get to and from Atlantic City just because of my winning ticket. What would happened if my envelope with the ticket got destroyed , lost or stolen? Would a picture of the front and back suffice? What’s the procedure? I like to gamble ...but I don’t like to gamble with my winning tickets! Please advise if I should bite the bullet and pay double to go to the subpar Atlantic City books or if there’s a safe route I can take in getting paid and head to Vegas |

A little too “fun” if you ask me. If you want to donate $50, I’ll send my paypal. I think you’re on the wrong side on 3 of those picks with the exception of the colts , maybe ;) |

the line movement scared the crap out of me too and had me wait till 7:09 to press “accept” on my wager $600 Dodgers ML and $600 under. I just can’t see Kershaw losing in this spot. GL! |

Thanks for everyone’s help. Unfortunately Vegas odds ended up being not so generous as bet365. I ended up getting 2 separate tickets for 2500 to win 4500. I did this because apparently with the 2018 gambling law revision, I read sports books are taking 24% out of your winning ticket if the win is over $5k. Is this true? even in Vegas with cold hard cash being paid over the counter (without signing up for a account) ? Or is this only true for the new states, like Jersey? Is it enforced 100% of the time or only sometimes? TIA |

So I’m trying to figure out how to get the best value. I leave Vegas on Thursday of this week. I’m either going to put 5k on Astros to take down Boston (bet365 has it at pick em -115). Assuming this is the Vegas line (or if Boston is somehow the favorite) when I get to the counter, will I see a better return betting +210 to win it all risking 5 to win 1050 or betting -115 to win $4545.45 and then rolling that over to risk $9545.45 to win?? I know this totally depends on what team they play. So another way my question could be put is this. ASSUMING the World Series is Astros vs Dodgers, what would you have it priced at? Now how about Astros vs Brewers? TIA! |

So I feel strongly that the stros are going to take the AL. I’m taking them on the series no matter what the line may be. Taking them pretty large. Anyhow, I’m tight with my book and I told him to throw me some odds before they’re posted (before we know who they’re playing). My question to you people that have been betting on baseball longer than I have ( I usually don’t do much baseball at all). What do you project the line may be if the Yankees win? What about if the Indians win? Is -150 a fair price?

It’s been a hell of a day. What a roller coaster ride. Wow. I had to do some wacky stuff I wouldn’t normally do playing with “in play” lines and second half’s ...but miraculously I’ve done decent... until this last game that is.... could possible break about even on this game after making some more wacky flip flopping second half bets. I however, could lose all 4 bets ??. Let’s see where this goes...

Can’t trust someone that has 32 yards with 2 interceptions in a half. ML SECOND HALF AND +4.5 wash
