The gambler craves the action; oh he says he wants to win but his love of the action will prevent the winning. True, he will have his hot streaks, any monkey can be right sometime, but the game is not just today, it's all the days and over time the winner is not motivated by the love of action! Now, nothing wrong with just liking to gamble. If you can afford it and don't let it take over, like any addiction, and ruin your life, fine, gamble for entertainment. If the goal is being a long term winner, well that is another discussion altogether. They play the national anthem somewhere every day, you don't have to hear them all.

As good as any other "handicapping"!

Well, lets see...so far kingsolomon says Duke lost the game at Cameron because there was all this pressure on Duke, it being K's last home game...then, we have Packersfan saying there is "tremendous pressure on the Duke side" in this game, so naturally he thinks they win it...so, two opinions, no facts. Sorry King, Duke is not better "at every position 1-5"...your opinion, but not a fact. Manek would start for Duke! (as he would for any team in the country); Love and Davis are just as competent as Duke's guards. Again, I don't have a clue who will win. I do think it is just a coinflip!

Few thoughts...they have played twice, each winning on the road; UNC by 13 in K's home finale, Duke by 20 at UNC. So what's the take? Either team can beat the other, and if "on" by double digits. Which team comes in on a roll? Both of them! If you not a homer either way, and have to bet the game (and don't we all) then the above makes it obvious UNC is the bet...not UNC is the obvious winner, just that in a true coin flip game take the points. There is no "inside information", no motivational edge, no historical angle that means a damn thing for this game. Any "handicapping" is just a bullshit excercise. Your guess is good as the next man's! Can you really say with any conviction that if they played 10 it wouldn't just as likely be 5-5 as any other outcome??

Would love to hear anyone's fact based analogy that there is a true edge for either...yes, Duke is the favorite. We have all seen just what that means to your wallet in the tournament thus far!

Went  9-9 in sec reg. season and played in tournament championship game. Notre Dame, 17-12 Michigan? A joke
