With corner jimmy smith injured, rashaad melvin has stepped up huge and ladarius webb seems to finally be healthy again. The patriots dont have a receiver like a Antonio Brown to worry about. Edelman is an underneath route runner who the Ravens can contain. These guys are also solid tacklers and wrap up well. replied to ESPN TURNS FLACO GOD(why pats cover -7) in NFL Betting Wish people would understand a few things about Baltimore Football and stop selling them short. 1) CJ Mosley- Defensive rookie of the year, wasn't on the team last year when the Pats ran the ball down Baltimores mouths. A true sideline to sideline play making linebacker is a huge difference maker for the Ravens. Another great draft pick by the organization. 2) Coaching- From top to bottom the Ravens have the best coaches in Football. Harbaugh, Pees, Kubiak, Spagnuollo, Castillo, etc. are extremely bright football minds and can scheme with the best of them. Nobody is going to out prepare or out coach these men. Not even the great Bill Bellicheck. 3) The system - the Ravens for the most part build from within. A perfect example would be nose tackle Brandon Williams. Please watch the tape from last week in Pittsburgh to see him dominate pro bowl center Pouncey. Pernell Mcphee, Timmy Jernigan, Terrell Suggs, Chris Canty, Haloti Ngata, Elvis Dumerville are a huge load to handle for any offensive line. They keep coming and coming, its overwhelming. This game will be won in the trenches. Building from within also creates good team chemistry, and the Ravens have proven that in January. So let's talk Ravens offensive line... Eugene Monroe is healed and ready to return. The Ravens boast the 2 best guards in the league in Oseleme and Yanda. Not sure if Yanda is going to play RT, but if he does it's not a drop off. It's going to be very hard for the Patriots defensive line to outplay the Ravens and their zone blocking scheme. They pass protect well and love to run the football. If the Ravens have trouble passing the ball against Revis and Co. there's a strong chance they'll be able to soften the defense with their stout running game. Justin Forsett - A very tough durable and rarely ever fumbles has had a breakout season. He's also very smart Joe Flacco- big big big arm in which weather doesn't effect his throws. I wish people could see him throw a football in person. I know rodgers and cutler get alot of hype about their arm strength, but not even they can throw the ball like he can. Its truly a sight to behold. It's going to be extremely cold in New England tomorrow, but for Joe it'll be like a 75 degree day.
