Going down the card this morning, this line jumped out the most to me.

I'm taking a 9-0 team with BCS bowl game aspirations, I know I'm going to get a focused effort today.

I'm not certain Louisville goes into the Dome and rolls Syracuse, but I think they go in and play well and get the win and cover.

Don't forget, the Cubs suck and Volstad is awful.

Tex & Tor is a bit of a "due" factor game. Both offenses have been held in check the last couple games and with the pitchers on the mound today and their past history against the opposition along with the day/night splits makes me think their will be some runs scored.

Masterson is bad on the road, Parker has consistently struggled of late, the last 2 games have played over. If CLE can muster 2 or 3 runs I think this one goes over.

That was against the Astros at Home at Night. This is the N.L. Central Leading Reds on the Road during the day game of a double-header.

I'm banking on the situation to play a role in favor of Cueto and the Reds.

Check out the nasty splits in favor of Cueto and the Reds against Samardzija and the Cubs

Queto Home : 8-1 2.26 ERA
Queto Day Games: 10-0 1.55 ERA

Samardzija Road: 4-7 4.66 ERA
Samardzija Day: 3-6 5.56 ERA

Cubs call ups Vitters and Jackson aren't hitting yet and the rest of the line-up isn't consistent or good enough to get to Cueto for very much.

I'll take the Reds (39-21 H) -1.5 R against the Cubs (16-43 A) all day long.

Just wish I wasn't a Cubs fan too. GL

Not a novel idea here or anything, but I see a little extra value in taking the Pirates and Burnett tonite against the Cubbies.

Cubbies traded away 3 players yesterday and Dempter's name is the most talked about name on the market. Even Dale Sveum was quoted as saying he'd be surprised if Dempster was still around.

I'm going to take the Pirates and keep my fingers crossed Dempster gets traded, even if he doesn't I have the better team at about even money. Not listing pitchers for this bet obviously.

Cards/Cubs Over 8 125 to win 109

 Halladay at -102 is a bargain price with Utley and Howard back and going against Hudson who's numbers against the Phillies are rough.
Roy on an extra day of rest too fyi.

Nats pick is simple enough, Gio on the Hill and the Brewers sending a call-up to the bump. Nats are a playoff team, Brewers aren't and Aramis is out of the line-up while the Nats have all their guys.

Cubs / Cards... I live in Chicago about 10 mins from Wrigley so I know the Cubs and the NL Central. But most of all I know the weather, today feels like an over and with these 2 pitchers and their career numbers against the opposition over a good number of at bats, i think we see 9 or 10 runs and that's if they have a good day on the hill. I'll take a stab at the over here in this Sunday matinee in July.

I like the over here, Minor susceptible to the long ball and Philly has their guys back. Blanton can always flat out lose it and blow up for a big inning. I'm expected 9 or 10 runs in this guy this afternoon in the ATL.
