created a topic Wyoming v. New Mexico in College Football I am leaning real hard towards Wyoming -3.5 here. They have played 5 solid games this year and their only loss came at Boise St. on the blue rug. I know New Mexico's QB is pretty solid, but how do I not lay the pts? replied to Thread on Fading the Public, anyone with info please comment in College Football I understand your way of thinking and wish it were so simple, However, Vegas takes bets for every single game both for coll football and NFL. Now, I am not sure exactly how much is wagered on each game and I know that primetme games have much more wagered on them than does a western michigan/central michigan type game. But that being said how many games do you play a weekend? I probably play 9-10 on Saturdays and about 4-5 on Sunday. That means I am involved in about 15 out of about 100 games every weekend.So unless I went the opposite on every public play I am not in the same boat as Vegas. I do think there is something to say about fading the public and you may have something there about primetime games, but my point is..it is impossible to replicate what Vegas does as an individual bettor. replied to ALL SEC TEASER any thoughts.... in College Football I used to tease spreads down moreso than up...I got burned. Now I would advise you to tease with the dogs. It has worked for me so far this year. I know it looks great when you get to tease a team favored by 6 or 7 to a pick em', but like JRBull said one of those home dogs will win outright. I always see someone doing that each week and I tell them I have been burned many times by giving and getting lots of points. I used to like those gams because they are such huge mismatches, I thought they would be easy to cash on. I was wrong...Now I tend to play games with reasonable spreads, no higher than 15-17 points. thus far it has worked out a lot better. That is just my take, tkae it for whatever it's worth.
