in College Football The revenge angle for Armstrong is a huge omission by covers. Not "everyone" knows that. |

@jtoler a 1.5 point move and 40 cent ml move are big moves in a 30 minute span. |

Nashville has lost a couple in a row and has a GAUNTLET of a schedule coming up after today's game with the Hawks. They can't waste these 2 points if they want to make the playoffs. They are only "in" the playoffs by a couple points now, so this is a must win for them against a young team who has lost in Nashville a bunch lately. Hawks just won an emotional game at home against SJ to break a long losing streak. Kane and Dibrinkat made a point to say that they needed to send the longtime Hawks play by play announcer out with a win and they did. The factor I like the most is the fact that Nashville HATES the Blackhawks dating back to when the Hawks were consistently winning cups. Chicago fans are rabbid...and can even be obnoxious when the team is good. Guilty here! That was the case for years as the Hawks continued to eliminate Nashville from the playoffs almost every year. Hawks fans would travel to Nashvegas and buy all the tickets to the games. So when the Hawks came to town, it was the Madhouse on Madison (south) and I remember how pissed that used to make the Nashville fans. It seems they haven't forgot that as they have beaten the Hawks 8 out of the last 10 times they have faced each other and 5 times in a row in Nashville dating back to 2021. The fans, probably more so than the players hate the Hawks, but the players need today's game. The combo of a desperate team and an engaged home crowd should be enough to put the Preds over the top. probably by multiple goals. I don't see why the Hawks would get up for this early road game after they just won an important game for themselves last time out. Good luck all. |

ugh. they tried to knock the coyotes out in the first period. had a bunch of shots and only 1 goal. they faded after that initial push. Sorry if I led anyone down the wrong path. |

Small nugget for the game Sunday vs Coyotes that may or may not mean much for Blackhawks motivation. But in a garbage game like this, any little thing can tip the scale sometimes. Pat Foley has been the Hawks announcer for 39 years and he is retiring after this season. The Hawks are honoring him Sunday for Pat Foley day at the United Center. He is one of the best announcers in the game and has many Hall of Fame calls under his belt. He has called 99% of Kane & Toews games in their careers and I think they will want to send him out with a win on his day. They both have a little gas left in the tank when needed. I could see Kane giving foley a hat trick to call on his day. side note: the hawks are currently tied 2-2 in Tampa as I write this on Friday. There was a big trade between the hawks and lightning and friday is the first time the traded players are playing against their old teams, so those particular players are giving max effort tonight, they could have tired legs sunday. also, the scheduling spot for the hawks isn't great. they will be playing 3rd in 4 days after being playing back to back in Miami and tampa. while the coyotes will be coming off a couple days rest. Take it for what it is worth. neither team is going to the playoffs. sunday nights are ritual for lots of fans in chicago, so hopefully they draw a decent crowd and they get fired up watching pat foley highlights on the jumbotron calling some of the best hawks goals ever. Hawks will be favored, but in a game like this where the veterans may want to give 100%, the score could get ugly, i would take the hawks on the puck line. as a chicago homer, i have not played on the hawks much, if at all this year. this nugget just stuck out to me. Good luck everyone.

Moving WHITE and CARTER to the and porter and sato to the starting lineup compliments lavine. I think all parties will be giving max effort to prove that they belong in the starting lineup. Nobody likes to get benched. I think White can be a great spark for the second team scoring. Raptors shorthanded and tired. Bulls run tonight. |

"Minnesota dominating this series" Highly flawed arguement/point. |

Forgot to mention Lavine is playing his old team as well. He never made an all star game with the Wolves except for the dunk contest. What better night to stick it up their nose with a rubber hose. |

My 2 cents for the Bulls tonight is this. The t-wolves have a good recent record vs the Bulls, but I believe most of the wolves wins vs the Bulls were with Thibs as coach. He always comes prepared to play the Bulls since he left, so I'm sure he had them focused for those games. Wolves got another new coach last game. Came from Houston Rockets in his past. I believe the Wolves fired up way more 3's in his first game as coach than they normally do. Only 1 game sample size, but look for that philosophy and maybe the over as the Bulls are happy to get into shootouts. Finally Zach Lavine has been begging to get on the all-star team and got voted in. Billy Donovan was really pushing for him. I think he will come out tonight and try to prove that he belongs there. So again, maybe a little more focus on offense than defense. maybe the Bulls rally around Zach's all-star selection? I always love the all star snub angle, but with Zach rallying so hard to make the team, I think he will want to show he really belongs. I like the Bulls and the over tonight. |
